For those that have followed along with Brandt Snedeker over the last few years, you have come to find out he does not change equipment very often, let alone his driver. That was until a few weeks ago when Sneds tried out the new Bridgestone JGR and immediately put it into play and saw great results.
The new driver was not really designed with the tour player in mind, so while a surprise to some, the performance spoke for itself and today he picked up his first win of the year at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego, CA.
THP wanted to go straight to the source and get the lowdown on the technology that makes the JGR tick so met up with Josh Kinchen from Bridgestone Golf to give the details.
Clearly it’s working out well for Sneds! I’m looking forward to getting a chance to check it out ASAP! Nice work Bridgestone!
This is one I want to hit. I ama fan of the j715 and j815. Sneds putting a driver in play not geared for his caliber shows this one has some good potential for us ams.
I absolutely love the look of this driver and it’s looking like it has the performance to back that up. I can’t wait to give this a shot.
Can’t wait to hit that driver….I really did well with the J40 driver and I am sure the JGR will blow it away.
Wasn’t looking for a driver this season, but may go give it a try.
Loves the tough conditions does Snedeker. If he can strike a US Open or British Open in wet and blustery conditions this year he’s a good chance to pull of his first major.
