Bridgestone B330-RX in Yellow Review

While at the PGA Show, THP shot a video with the folks at Bridgestone Golf announcing that they were releasing the very popular B330-RX golf ball in Optic Yellow, much to the delight of golfers everywhere. Here is a quick look at that video.

Bridgestone is a company that firmly believes in listening to consumer feedback as they work towards creating new golf balls through fitting and consumer thoughts, so the company wanted to find out what golfers thought about the ball out on the course. THP and Bridgestone Golf sent a group of forum members of all skill levels the new B330-RX in Optic Yellow to try out before they are released in stores to find out what their thoughts were on the ball overall, as well as the color.

Follow along as golfers update their experience with the pre-release golf ball and discuss everything from distance gains and spin around the green to whether or not the yellow color works. You can read the daily updates right here in the THP Forum thread.

  • The testers are doing a great job so far. I’m an RX guy already, so I can’t wait for these to be released.

  • I’ve been fitted for the RX along with the B330S and I’ve been kind of neglecting the RX until this test. The RX is now my only gamer regardless of whatever stacks of balls I have. Perfect for the golfer who isn’t always playing to a pro level :). The optic yellow is an addition that makes the choice very easy. As someone who likes the play of a non-traditional white ball this is just perfect. Thank you THP and Bridgestone for the opportunity!!!!!

  • I am looking forward to this ball too. I tried a yellow ball for the first time today and shot my best score of the year.

  • I’ve been playing the 330 series ball for years now and swear by them. I was going to try the yellow balls, when a friend gave me a box for my birthday. Obviously they don’t go any further or straighter than the white ones. I did note that they do stick out on the fairways and on the green and I guess that maybe off the tee your eye may be drawn to them. What I did notice is that off the fairway, they are harder to find. The yellow blends in well with drying or dry cut grass. A couple of time, even standing within a few feet of the ball, I had to look twice to locate it within the deep rough. Will I stick with them? Probably not.

  • I was turned on to the RX yellow golf balls due to vision issues with my new transition lenses. A wonderful edition for golfers everywhere!!!
