For many golfers, the year doesn’t truly begin until the azaleas bloom and the first tee shot is struck beneath the Georgia pines. Temperatures slowly start to rise, the grass begins waking up from its winter sleep, and even if the rounds ahead might still require a few extra layers, the excitement is unmistakable.
Meanwhile in Augusta, Georgia, the grounds crew at Augusta National is preparing one of the most beautiful stages in all of sports. The azaleas will soon be in bloom, the fairways will look impossibly green, and the entire golf world will turn its attention toward the first Major of the year.
The Masters.
Few events in golf carry the same sense of tradition, anticipation, and visual perfection.
Callaway Golf sees that moment as something worth celebrating. Once again, the company is marking the occasion with its limited-edition Chrome Tour April Major golf balls, bringing a seasonal design to one of its flagship tour-level offerings.
Truvis Meets Augusta Inspiration
Callaway has built a reputation for creative limited releases throughout the year, and the Truvis platform provides the perfect canvas for those ideas. This year’s April Major design leans heavily into the visual elements golfers immediately associate with Augusta while offering a fresh take compared to previous versions.

The pattern features a 360-degree floral stripe that wraps around the ball in four distinct colors. The flowers instantly evoke the famous azaleas surrounding Augusta National, while the palette incorporates the green, gold, and white tones that have become synonymous with The Masters.
Running through the center of the floral stripe is a clean alignment line, providing players with a visual reference when setting up putts while keeping the design easy to read on the greens. The alignment aid blends naturally into the graphic rather than interrupting the pattern.

Callaway also includes a subtle commemorative detail through the ball number. Each Chrome Tour April Major ball is marked with a special number inspired by the occasion, continuing the tradition of tying these limited releases back to Augusta’s unmistakable identity.
Chrome Tour Performance
Of course, the limited-edition visuals sit on top of the same Chrome Tour performance platform that many golfers already trust. Callaway designed Chrome Tour to deliver what it calls the “Gold Standard in Tour Balls,” combining speed, control, and consistency throughout the bag.
Inside the ball, Callaway utilizes a Tour Fast Mantle, a material with a higher flex modulus that acts like a stiffer spring. The goal is increased ball speed while maintaining stability through impact.

Flight performance is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero design, which uses an optimized hybrid dimple pattern to promote consistent trajectory and dependable distance on a wide range of shots.
Surrounding the internal layers is Callaway’s Precision Tour Urethane cover, developed to provide the soft feel and greenside control expected from a premium tour ball. Combined with Callaway’s Precision Technology manufacturing process, the design focuses on producing consistent performance from ball to ball.
For golfers who already play Chrome Tour, this release simply adds a touch of Masters-season personality to a ball they trust. For others, it’s a fun reminder that one of the most anticipated weeks in golf has arrived.

Ooh. Thanks for posting that.

Yep. Them being free made the fact they aren’t my preferred CTX more palatable
Got my hands on some this past Saturday and played them. The design is so fun and very happy the truvis is an alignment aid and not the Wild West like the OGs.
I am going to load up a few more doz just to have some for the season. These are fun!

These might just need to be the first 360 version I buy
Callaway is king of the limited releases. These are so well done.

Agreed… love every time there is a new LE.
Seeing these in person, including the packaging, is just a real treat. All things considered, I’m leaning towards these being gamer balls. Maybe a special occasion or something, but they are too cool to just sit on.
So clean.
Mine arrived. It’ll be another few weeks before I can put them in play on a real course. Purple is definitely my favorite color.

Bought a dozen yesterday. They look good in person. Definitely putting them in play.
Finally got around to ordering a dozen of these. Love the look
Fun to see some of you jumping in. I played this on the course yesterday and came away pretty impressed. Nice ball to start with, but the design was both useful and fun.
I lean on the alignment line for putting and found it really easy to set up to. Some instant reward when you see that thing rolling really tight as well.
Spin and height was really nice too.
I haven’t played the new Chrome Tour, but 360 stripe is my favorite Callaway alignment. I admit that I have been playing some balls that are easier on the wallet, but could not resist these.

I have always loved the Chrome Tour and I have a hard time staying away from anything close to a theme that features a major in Georgia.
Caddy hat from Callaway in the mail!
