Callaway has had an incredibly successful year with the launch of the Chrome Tour lineup. This lineup has taken their golf ball range to the next level, and according to the feedback on the THP forum many consider it to be the golf ball of the year. Besides its performance, Callaway has also used the Chrome Tour to showcase their artistic and creative prowess with limited edition releases such as Golf Hearts, Lone Wolf, Hot Dog, Oktoberfest, and most recently, their Halloween golf balls. Today the Chrome Tour Día de los Muertos joins the fun, offering a colorful way to celebrate this holiday that spans thousands of years.

The Chrome Soft Día de los Muertos golf ball features Callaway’s TruTrack design, which includes four symbolic icons: a sugar skull, marigold, catrina, and paper crafts. These elements are all iconic symbols of the Día de los Muertos celebrations. Day of the Dead is a highly symbolic celebration with specific colors, each with a special meaning. Callaway has incorporated many of those colors into the ball’s graphics such as orange, yellow, and pink.

While researching these colors I found that yellow represents light, which helps guide departed spirits on their journey. Orange, one of the most popular colors of this celebration, symbolizes the sun. Although Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead may sound like a sad occasion, it’s meant to be a true celebration and that’s where pink comes in. Pink helps create an air of positivity and represents the joyous qualities of the day.

The limited edition Chrome Tour Día de los Muertos golf balls will be available 10/21/2024 for $54.99. You can order them straight from Callaway at www.callawaygolf.com.
I’ll pick up a dozen. @JB gave me some Chrome Tours at the UST Finale and I am sold. What I saw that ball do in the wind and hold greens in those conditions was impressive.
These look pretty cool. I am amazed how far the OEM’s have taken the level of detail and colour on these impressions. Nice write-up @ddec including the extra research ?.
Well done but not something I’d purchase personally.
What they’ve managed to do printing wise is pretty awesome! Well done for the Hispanic community.
Those look really cool
So happy they finally have these printing capabilities! ?

Chrome Tour and Tour X have been a crazy good ball. Been fun to see a ball come out with so much hype and chatter about performance and it’s held up all season long.
TM did it better last year. Not a bad release though.
These are cool! Wont be getting any, but still cool none the less.

I think TM did well with some covers last year, and the coffin shaped box was interesting. To me, this ball design looks better. More colorful, they pop.
Awesome to see brands pushing the limits on designs. These look great.
Question…I’m sure they do analysis on these designs to see what will sell right? Or do they make limited amounts?
Pretty cool.

I agree, I like the capabilities more so than the result on this one. It’s fine for me and judging by the responses there are people who think it’s a solid win in their book. Now that we have more and more detail I’m always excited on what they will be having next.
Not bad for a limited design. I think some of the others are more fun but I’m sure they didn’t run a ton of these.
@Golfgirlguru will love these. She has a Dia de los Muertos headcover set she put together from Hatch!
Probably my favorite from them yet
@ddec dropping some knowledge on us. I learned something today
These are really well done and I like the fact that they went deeper than just using the sugar skulls, which is the most common motif of Dia De Los Muertos.
Like these alot! Last years edition was fun too!
These are fun. I haven’t jumped in on all of them, but the fun limited edition releases was one of the reasons I picked Chrome Tour over Pro V1 this year
I like it. Chrome Tour is my ball and I Don’t see that changing anytime soon.

This. It’s pretty good but not the best.
Those are really well done
Their special editions are getting so much better. For quite a while they have lagged behind Taylormade in both the ideas and execution but over the past few months there has been some dramatic improvement. I wonder if anything changed on the creative team or with their processes.

The hot dogs are still my favorite, but I really like these too
I like this. Dont know if I’m a buyer at this point as I’m not a big TruVis guy, but I like it none the less.

That’s a solid point. I would also really like it if they put in the extra effort like TM did for the clown release box.
I haven’t been blown away by these offerings, but I’m glad they’re doing them. Makes it a kinda fun!
Not bad, I like them, but I don’t think I’d buy them.
1. I love these.
2. Kinda getting tired of sugar skulls being all over the place all the time.

I agree. With Sugar Skulls, less is more for me and takes away from it’s true meaning for the culture.
I love what they’ve been doing on these special editions…really crushing them. Should start collecting some
Love this release. If I were still gaming the CTs all the time I’d get a box for sure.
I like the looks of these and love they keep coming out with new designs.
Very cool!
Nice write up Dean! Cool to see Callaway adding different flavor to an awesome golf ball!
Actually used some points and ordered a dozen yesterday.
