After some recent teasing on social media, Callaway is ready for you to play in the sand. No, this isn’t another set of wedges; instead, it’s the all-new Limited Edition Elyte Sandstorm drivers. Like Callaway did last year when they released the Paradym Ai Smoke Tactical Driver, the new Elyte Sandstorm models offer a fresh take on the current Elyte drivers.
Limited Edition Design

Special editions often raise questions about their timing. When is it too early to introduce a new colorway? Callaway has decided that the answer is four months after the initial release hits the shelves. The good news is that there’s no definitive answer to this question. All limited edition releases serve a purpose, whether a different cosmetic design might entice someone to rush to the cash register (did I sound old there?), commemorate a particular time of year or to help re-engage consumers with the product.
For this limited edition release, Callaway has erased the silver, green, and white colors from the sole and replaced them with a black weight system that offers a stealthier appearance. The sole features a digital desert camo design that spans the entire area and is sure to attract attention. While some limited releases don’t quite resonate with me regarding design, I love how the desert camo pattern has been implemented here.
Elyte Sandstorm

The all-new Elyte Sandstorm drivers feature the same technologies that have made the Elyte one of the most popular drivers of 2025. This includes the Thermoforged Carbon Crown, which maintains a matte finish on the standard/core model and features a glossy look on the two Triple Diamond heads. Those who choose one of these Sandstorm drivers will also benefit from the Ai10x Face and advanced shaping designed to maximize aerodynamics for enhanced Elyte speed.
While this limited release offers strictly cosmetic changes from the standard Elyte models, the changes aren’t exclusive to the driver head. For starters, the stock shaft is the Mitsubishi Tensei Sandstorm LTD, which includes a digital desert camo pattern found on the shaft band. Golf Pride has also joined the fun by designing a new MCC Black and Sandstorm grip. Topping it all off is a new Sandstorm digital desert camo headcover, which looks pretty sharp.

Honoring Veterans
To celebrate the launch of the new Elyte Sandstorm drivers, Callaway recently welcomed four local veterans to the Ely Callaway Performance Center for a driver fitting. Unbeknownst to them, they would walk out with the Limited Edition Elyte Sandstorm models.
Callaway’s Limited Edition Elyte Sandstorm drivers are available for pre-order today and will hit the marketplace on May 30th. Three models are available: Elyte, Elyte Triple Diamond, and Elyte Triple Diamond Max, each offered in 9° and 10.5° loft options. However, the selection is more limited for left-handed golfers, with only the Elyte model in 10.5° available.

That’s really cool! And the headcover is fantastic!
Super cool of Callaway to do this. Looks sweet too!

This is how I feel about it as well.

Ok. The more and more pics I see of this it’s starting to grow on me.
Very cool and well done.
Very cool package all the way around.
I really like the new color way. I’m usually not a big fan of cami but this one came out really nice.
As much as I was hoping for new wedges… these look really cool and well done.
Oh and the video is just fantastic. Well done Callaway.

Ok I wasn’t right with projected names (DuneRider Elyte) but was correct that it was a driver ?
Looks super nice

THERE WAS SAND
I like it, just wish something was different on the crown too. That headcover is awesome!!
There are bad camo versions of things and they can get overdone sometimes but I do like this one.
Beautiful
Love the sentiment behind this. Love the look. Love the grip and shaft as well.
I hate sand. If it’s not in a bunker it is the most annoying substance on earth.
I’m not sure what to think, don’t love but also don’t hate it. I could very well be swayed one way or the other when I see this in person. The head cover looks fantastic. I wish they did something a little suffer with the finish on the crown.
This may be my favorite Cally limited edition to come out.
Although having an aversion to desert camo after the military, I kind of like these.

Come visit me in Dubai, you’ll love it :ROFLMAO:
Dig this a lot!!
I could not resist this as I’m not in the market for another driver but after I saw these I went for it and have the Elyte Sandstorm ordered. Love the head cover as I always thought Cobra did such a nice job on Limited edition drivers but not now. This is by far the Best looking Callaway and best looking Limited Edition Driver that I have ever seen. Everything about this driver is so cool looking as these will sell super fast. Just try to find a Tactical Driver from a year ago without paying double for what they sold for

I love the reasoning behind the special edition. However I’m probably going to be a minority in here that I’m not in love with the design of it. Too much yellow for me.
[/QUOTE]
Same here. I know this will be popular
With all the love on here, who actually ordered one? I see one person above.
Would game that in a heartbeat. Cool club!

I might be tempted if there was a TD TD
I really like the color scheme! Does anyone know how many of these were produced?

Yeah. I was bummed when I saw only TD Max.
This is dope. Well done, Callaway!
These are quite well done. Like the touches they have with the Desert camo. Really looks good on each part. Very nice.
Who’s going to be the first one to hit this from a bunker?

We shall await your video
Very cool! Growing up as an army brat, I’ve got a different perspective on veterans and their service. Love seeing products released to show some love to a group of people I have an incredible amount of appreciation for.
That’s really a great looking club, love the headcover
Love this, it’s really well done. AND the headcover is amazing as well.
Saw these at the store yesterday, looks really good and didn’t catch the shaft sandstorm piece in the early pic’s.
I had the tactical driver and it was really well done. I like the looks of this a lot. Kinda wish they would being them sooner so those that purchased already don’t have FOMO, but with 50% trade in bonus this is an economic option for those who want to jump in
Design wise this is not for me, but I think they did a good job with it for those who are into this sort of thing and I love what they’ve done here to honor vets.
Big fan of this from Callaway! Loved the tactical last year and the headcover for the sandstorm is super dope! Also being a vet love seeing them bring other veterans out and get them all fitted up with the driver! Good stuff from Callaway
I too loved the tactical driver but missed out on the sale. I really like how the Sandstorm looks and did I need another driver…NO. Well instead of keeping what I was playing I sold what I had for a very reasonable price. I have played the last 4 carbon face drivers and the last 4 Callaway drivers. It really goes back further than that so it has always been either Cally or TM, occasionally I would throw in another mix in the bunch as I have owned more of the main 2 brands than anything else. I know I’m not going to get massive distance gains but when standing over something that really looks good as you know they perform well it just gives you so much confidence. Cobra has always done very well with their limited drivers but with the Tactical driver and now the Sandstorm these 2 are what I feel is the best looking. Cobra will always have the edge with the most different designs.
I know the name isn’t catchy but it is the Elyte driver as they are one of the very best driver to come out this year. I didn’t care for the green so now after seeing this version I wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity like I did with the Tactical driver. Mine will be here in 2 days and finally the weather is warming up as it has been a miserable month of May for golfing here in N.E. Ohio. Thanks Callaway for honoring the Vets
1st time out with mine and I was very impressed as to how accurate this driver is. I’m only swinging about 75-80% as I have been recovering from a sore back and only able to get out once in 2 1/2 weeks because of all the rain we have been getting. Easiest club I have ever had to go straight or hit a small draw. I did try a big fade and lost a ball which is not a shot I like to hit on that particular hole or any hole. My 1st shot was with my 3W on that hole and it was a perfect shot so I wanted to see if I could get it on the fringe at least on dog leg right 310 yard par 4.
Now I know there is no difference in performance between the original Elyte and the Sandstorm but Wow! this club is a rocket launcher. Distance was good as I was very pleased. I like the feel and looks better than the Qi35, but both are subjective. The Qi35 is the best looking TM driver to ever sell. So glad Callaway came out with the Limited Edition much better to me than the Green as that was the only reason why I went with the Qi35 at the beginning. Callaway and TaylorMade are both 2 of my favorite brands. Now when I saw the (2) Qi35 Limited designs that just came out I thought right away that would never find a home in my bag. I’m sure anyone who has the original Elyte won’t be jumping on the Sandstorm design but being a veteran I was not going to pass up this chance like I did last year when Callaway came out with the tactical driver.

Ok, I really like this one. It just works.
