When it comes to consumer testing of pre-release products, THP’s forum testing is in a class by itself. The goal is simple, get equipment in the hands of regular consumers and have them test it over long periods of time both on the range and course and report their continued findings.
A few months ago, THP did this with their TaylorMade Burner 2.0 iron testing. A group of forum members received full sets of irons and it was their job to test them out and report honest findings in the forum. Next up was the upcoming TaylorMade Forged Tour Preferred irons, and 10 different forum members are set to receive that set and report their findings as well.
That brings us to our latest testing and one that we are very much looking forward to. At the 2010 THP Golf Outing & Demo Day, one club was by far the most talked about in terms of performance and that was the Cleveland Mashie hybrid. To take it a step further, Cleveland & THP wanted to get these in the hands of THP forum members for another long term testing, so 5 regular golfers received Cleveland Mashie hybrids to put through the paces. You can follow all of their testing right here as they update their findings each and every day.
When it comes to unbiased testing, THP has you covered. Regular golfers just like you are getting equipment each and every month to try out on the course and report back to the rest of the world. If you ever wanted to be an equipment tester, THP wants to give you the opportunity. All you have to do is be an active member of the THP forum and sign up for testing and you will have a chance to be selected. If you are not a member yet, signing up is always fast, free, and easy.
You can follow along with the THP testers as they continue their long term study on the Cleveland Mashie. Here are their ongoing results.
