As we approached the end of 2020, Cobra Golf dropped a new limited edition putter called the KING SuperSport that was both weird and amazing at the same time. When I say “weird”, I don’t necessarily mean the looks or performance, which were quite good, but rather moving the technology needle with the implementation of 3D printing.

After a quick sell out of the limited edition drop, we fast forward to May of 2021 and Cobra launched the KING 3D Printed and Vintage Series putters. That brings us to now and today Cobra is adding a new line called Black, which perfectly compliments the company’s Limited Edition Black LTDx driver and KING Black wedges.

While the putters are identical to the standard models, with the exception of the finish, Cobra’s black 3D Printed putters carry over the same technology with a 3D printed nylon lattice cartridge, which is designed to optimize weight distribution. In regular terms, this weighs less, to allow the designer to move the weight to offer better stability and higher overall MOI.
This isn’t only a makeover, however, there is some new to go along with this finish. The new models include the Agera 30 (Slant Neck OS Mallet) and Supernova 20 & 30 (Slant Neck OS Fangs). Models staying in line include the Grandsport-35 plumber, SuperNova single bend, and Agera single bend in black & silver finish options.

In addition to those new 3D Printed options, Cobra is also offering a new Cuda mallet shape and new hosel additions to the KING Vintage Series line.
The entire line of Cobra putters will continue to feature the SIK Aluminum face insert with Descending Loft Technology (DLT) as well as an Adjustable Weighting System that allows for simple weight adjustments (additional weights sold separately).

All KING Collection putters (3D Printed $349 each, Vintage $249 each) come standard with a Cobra SuperStroke Traxion Tour 2.0 grip and KBS Tour 120 shaft. The new additions to the KING 3D Printed and Vintage series will be available at retail and on their website beginning on May 6, 2022. For more information on the entire KING family of products visit cobragolf.com.

Said Thursday but with Fed Ex I’m not sure there’s enough grains of salt I can take with that date.
Love the supernova. I’ve been on the hunt for one but now this version really has my eye.

Highly unlikely I get the putter today…it’s an hour away from me right now and still needs to go through the “local” sorting/distribution warehouse

it makes me want to put a Widesport in a bag battle with the Cuda…
First impressions with the Widesport
Club feels heavy compared to my other “wide” putters. Probably because the others have some counterweight in the superstroke grips, TBD if that makes this feel more stable on course.
SIK insert feels like a normal milled insert, not too soft like an older Odyssey insert where if using a soft golf ball, you weren’t sure if you made contact.
Sets up nicely behind the ball, a little deeper/wider than my Odyssey Works 1W.
I’ll get some comparison pictures in the next few days to my other putters
How would one find out about this little gem that I circled? I’m really into the straight shafted putters lately.

Was lucky enough to win a 3D printed Agera off twitter that just arrived. It looks beautiful and there is some serious forgiveness across the face.

That little gem is arguably one the most stable center shafted putters on the market right I’d guess

That little gem is probably Tour Only. Anyone know who uses a Garsen grip and doesn’t want a sightline on a mallet putter? Trying to see who they’re targeting with that specific one?
Cuda was in New Mexico this morning, claims to make it to Ohio by Saturday. I hope they are right but I’m skeptical

you may want to check the inventory on their website as my local GG shows they have some of the new models in stock but not all, and not the Cuda… may end up joining @jdtox with a blind Cuda order

I do want to roll one of these!
So it does not look like the putter covers changed from last year. bummer. Would of liked to see them blacked out like the King Tec hybrid scheme.

I don’t think there’s enough of a difference to warrant a new headcover really. Outside of no silver they still use the lime green accents on the weights

It’s hard to find an after market mid mallet cover for the Torino. The Cobra cover has fallen off of my putter a couple of times that sent me scrambling to find the head cover. That is not the reason the putter is sitting in my Morgan Cup bag in my office but it doesn’t help. :ROFLMAO:

A regular blade cover doesn’t fit on that?

It’s snug and distorts the cover. Just a touch too small.

I know it’d be a SeeMore cover, but what about the Mini Giant or Giant blade covers they have? Would that possibly be large enough?
Something may currently be in the trunk in my car, awaiting it‘s maiden rolls…

I want to make sure I do it right!
Enjoying the initial impressions with the Cuda! The lines really help ensure I have everything lined up for me. I’m enjoying the firmer feel compared to the Supernova which was expected based on my testing on the others in the vintage line. Distance control and dispersion has been good. It’s not quite as forgiving as the supernova but the feedback on where on the face I hit is better.
At the end of the session had maybe a 15-20 foot putt. Put the first one on the high side, adjusted my aim and buried the next two which will work all day if I could keep that up.
Photos to come and hope to get it out for nine holes on Monday.
Rolled the Coda-40 today. It had the heaviest weights in it (25g x2). Rep was playing around with it. Heaviest putter I have ever used. I like the putter. It has better feel/sound than the supernova. I wouldn’t use it that heavy, of course, but it was still interesting. Nice putter. (y)
Found myself at the golf store, I took a peek to see if putters were there and thankfully nothing. Cuda blind order successful.
Putted in the house with the Widesport again today, this putter is very stable. I think it’ll go in the bag for a maiden voyage for my round on Friday
So I didnt take the Cuda out for its maiden nine yet as @xThor brought some of his putter collection to the course today which I had a blast rolling. That said, I spent a little more time on the practice green with the Cuda and I am liking it a lot. Between the weight being forward and the three parallel lines helping keep everything square at set-up I feel some putts are going to be made this summer.
The Agera may be the most stable putter I’ve ever rolled. I don’t have the blacked out version but it’s been a real game changer for me in just a few trips out to the course. I love how all of these look, Cobra is really bringing it.

Still trying to find the Widesport in the wild. No luck yet
I have the Nova 40. I love this putter. In my opinion the Cobra putters are sneaky good.

Toulon Columbus vs. Cobra Widesport
Cobra definitely wider, but shocking blade length not too different

Cobra Widesport vs. Odyssey O-Works 1w
I thought the 1W was bigger than it actually is compared to the Cobra Widesport…?
