It has been a lot of fun to watch Cobra Golf pave the way within the industry when it comes to the applications of 3D Printing. From multi-piece putters to the more recent LIMIT3D (and 3DP) irons, the relationship they have forged through collaborations with HP certainly seems to be setting the stage for a shift within the industry. Within this world precision is meeting innovation in ways never considered before, from prototyping all the way to the high-performance products the brand has released in recent years.
For example, look no further than the LIMIT3D irons which have been a true success for Cobra. With the first 500 doing so well, they have now come to a broader release with the 3DP. The one-piece construction via 3D printing had never been done before, and the elimination of the “extras” in designs like various badges, plates, drilling, or additional materials increased the precision exponentially.
Using an internal lattice structure, a world was opened by Cobra Golf that was not previously attainable, as the 316L Stainless Steel printing accomplished things traditional forging could not. Smaller profile met more playability, now Cobra wants to do the same with the premium putter segment.
“As leaders in technology and innovation, we recognized the potential of 3D printing to create more advanced products. The impressive performance gains of the LIMIT3D irons made it an easy decision to apply the same technology to putters. We are excited to introduce these new models and believe players will be impressed by their performance.”
Chad DeHart, Sr. Product Line Manager at Cobra Golf
By bringing the 316L Stainless Steel 3D Printing process to putters, Cobra believes a new level of precision shaping is now possible. Not only shaping though, the implementation of more precise CG placement as well as overall MOI. Yes, the LA Golf DLT (Descending Loft Technology) is present in the one-piece 3D printed design, still building four descending lofts (4°, 3°, 2°, 1°) into each shape to ensure forward roll no matter the angle of delivery. Also important to note, though they are all 3D Printed, each putter does undergo CNC machining during the finish process to make sure every radius is pristine in its visual flow.
For this first foray into fully metal 3D Printed putters, Cobra Golf is bringing not just one, but two models to market as a starting point and they are LIMIT3D.
Cobra Golf ENZO LIMIT3D Putter

The first of the two LIMIT3D putter designs, the ENZO is the full mallet. This particular shape really shows off the depth of collaboration between Cobra Golf and HP as the ENZO has a unique internal design structure which has helped bring the MOI up while keeping the feel in line with premium milled putters.

There will be two neck orientations offered, the single-bend ENZO and slant-neck ENZO-30. These two combined gives both a face-balanced as well as 30-degree toe-hang options for golfers. Based on the initial images, the ENZO certainly looks to turn heads in the mallet putter world.
Cobra Golf PISTA LIMIT3D Putter

Of course, it wouldn’t be any type of milled putter release, without a clean and classic looking blade, which is where the PISTA comes in. This particular model has been created using a Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) process. What in the world is that? According to our research, it means the metal powder is brought to a temperature which allows it to bind together, thus creating a solid surface without completely melting the material.

The shape is a very “traditional” blade look which uses a single flange alignment line. As with the ENZO, there are two PISTA versions. First, there is the PISTA-45 which is a full plumber’s neck that has 45-degrees of toe-hang, and a full shaft offset. Then, the PISTA-60 has a super-clean flow neck which brings 60-degrees of hang to the table, and ½ shaft of offset.
The Details – Cobra Golf LIMIT3D Putters

As you might have guessed from the LIMIT3D name being involved, these will be part of a limited release. Just how limited are we talking? There will be 500 of each version produced this time around.
Each putter is paired with the KBS CT Tour 120 putter shaft as well as SuperStroke Zenergy 2.0PT grip. Pricing is going to be $599 with availability through select retailers on their website cobragolf.com.

I had to double take your photo to make sure you didn’t hack mine, lol
Where I really think we need to play twins is to send it off to get a plumber neck installed 😎
I am drooling over some of these putters
I have admittedly not yet rolled any of the Limit3d putters, due only to lack of opportunity, but I really feel like it’s WAY overdue. I need to find a way to get my hands on these Limit3d putters soon!
This feels so plush off the face when centered. Its just really pleasing

Me likey – curious to get your feedback post-round on alignment.
@CBaker – curious about the move to All-In. I’m planning to get one on my Scotty, but was curious why you made the move.
I’m still catching up here, but I’m curious about the feel of these vs the inserted DLT Cobra putters. I loved the inserted version, but I have to imagine these feel soooo much better.
I want a wider blade Pista. Thanks for bringing up these putters @ChrisATL lol

I have it on there because I had it on my last cobra putter and just decided to make the move over to this one. I have a hard time really quantifying and benefit, but others absolutely rave about them.
As for the feeling, I didn’t mind the firmer metal inserts of the 3d printed line, but didn’t love the PEBAX insert of the others. This putter feels super premium and in line with other top line milled options out there.

Heard on shaft – I’m excited to try it out in my Scotty.
I loved the metal inserts but never tried the PEBAX version. I need to get my hands on one of these…so curious to see how the milled version feels.

Haha, I’m aware. :ROFLMAO:
But seriously, @Muchmore a wide-blade Pista would be ?
These pair really well with the LIMIT3D irons too…

Was rolling the Enzo 30 really well today in route to my best score of the year an 85 at Bear Trail Plantation in North Carolina. Speed control was excellent. I was rolling the ball on my intended line well. The Enzo 30 has been a really good putter.
Question for those who order online, will Cobra bend these putters +4 degree? Only see +2 on the site… Just daydreaming and needed more info.

I am not sure on that specific one, and may depend on hosel type, but every time I have called their online customer service it has always been a good experience for me

Thanks. I’m a plumbers neck kinda guy so I’m sure they can do it. I’ve been eyeing that Pista-45 and the Grandsport-35 today. Gaming the Scotty 5.2 2025 currently but it’s not speaking to me how I thought it would.

I think that putter size may be my thing. I like blades and mallets but would like to try something in between.
