Cobra KING OS Hybrids

Back in September, Cobra Golf introduced the new OS line of irons and the incredibly popular line from years ago was new again with modern technology that created one of the most forgiving irons that THP has tested to date. Today, the line expands with the launch of KING Oversized Hybrid.

Like it’s iron compliment, the KING OS Hybrid utilizes a wider, oversized shape to improve confidence at address and provide high launch and maximum MOI for a straighter, extremely forgiving ball-flight. At setup, the club still has a hybrid look to it, rather than that of a fairway wood, which is a fear for some as this type of club gets larger.

The Tech
PWRSHELL Face: The goal here is more flex at impact to provide higher speeds and more launch regardless of where the ball is impacted on the club face. It worked extremely well in the irons and early testing is showing the same here in the hybrids.

TeXtreme Crown: If you missed the THP TV spot last week on crown weights, check it out here for some fascinating information. Cobra has blended tungsten weighting positioned low and deep in the sole with the super light crown to offer high launch with low spin regardless of lie. The material used saves the company 8 grams versus a typical steel crown.

MyFly8
The KING OS Hybrid features full adjustability with the company’s MyFly system with Smart Pad. This will allow you to dial in the launch and trajectory you are looking for, but the key here is that because of their system, you can keep the club face neutral regardless of the loft you choose. With some options on the market, moving up and down in loft, will change the face angle.
