A few months ago, Cobra Golf released a revolutionary set of irons called LIMIT3D. It was not only a spectacular shift in creation technology, but also a not so subtle flex about being at the forefront of innovation. Rave reviews have followed on the THP Forum.
If you missed our original feature story on this set, you can find it here. If you would like to read in hand reviews from regular golfers just like you, you can find that in our forum community here.

With that out of the way, the set was limited to 500 made world wide. Only 350 of those being available in the US and Canada. Well, they went rather quickly, even with the premium price tag and Cobra listened to their audience and will be launching a 2nd release of the LIMIT3D irons.
The original sold out in a matter of minutes, so rather than move onto the next big thing and say “sorry, we don’t have anymore”, the beauty of this type of creation technology is the company has the ability to make more possible and do so a bit more quickly than previous manufacturing methods.
“The feedback from consumers, fitters and retailers on the look, feel and performance of the LIMIT3D irons has been remarkable,” said Mike Yagley, Vice President of Innovation & AI, COBRA Golf. “They were originally meant to be a one-time limited-edition run with an effort to get them to market as quickly as possible. We decided we had to make a second production batch to give more golfers access to this innovative technology.”
The bulk of the new run of the LIMIT3D irons will be available for order on CobraGolf.com, but a few select retailers and premium custom fit partners will get their hands on some too. While the irons are identical, the 2nd release will not come with the limited edition markings, commemorative box or the 3DP divot tool.
“Our LIMIT3D 3D printed irons represent COBRA’s dedication to pushing performance and technology to the limits,” said Jose Miraflor, Vice President of Product Architecture, COBRA Golf. “One of the key advantages of this new technology is the ability to fine-tune product development and repeat the production process with 100% consistency on demand in a relatively short time in comparison with traditional casting and forging methods. This is why we can offer more of the LIMIT3D irons so quickly after selling out the first limited-edition batch.”

The mission in designing the LIMIT3D irons was to create the look and feel of a compact blade with the forgiveness of a game-improvement model. The fully 3D printed stainless steel body of the irons feature an innovative internal lattice structure that allows 33% of the overall clubhead weight to be repositioned without sacrificing strength. Specifically, 100g of tungsten is placed in the heel and toe areas of the clubhead, creating a low CG and an exceptionally high moment of inertia relative to the size and shape of the club. The result is a compact blade with a low CG, very high forgiveness, precision and distance comparable to a player’s distance model.
The price remains the same. MSRP for the Cobra LIMIT3D irons is $3,000 and comes RH only in 4-PW. They do offer a fairly large selection of premium shafts and grips with each purchase. These will drop on CobraGolf.com on Friday, August 16th and our gut feeling is that they sell out rather quickly again.

I am thinking this will be the future of club making. Might be 5 years before it’s the norm but it’s coming!

As an unabashed club ho I will be all in on the first set of mass production 3D printed irons.
I bet Cobra gets them ready for a wide release with the next 2 years.
It’s great they are making a few more sets available. In my limit3d experience with them I was impressed. I think they are the real deal.
Cobra, PLEASE PLEASE add a GW to the run. Anyone have any in’s with Cobra?

Per the article above, it is the same 4-PW set, but there are some differences in boxing.
Love that they are doing a second release. Now I need $3k or a 40% coupon. :ROFLMAO:
This really excites me. Anybody reading the LIMIT3D thread knows how I feel about them. I cannot think of any equipment since the release of the OG Big Bertha driver that has transformed my game more than this set of irons. It is awesome that others will have the chance to try them and experience how amazing this technology is.
Welp the second run got me! Sold off some unused clubs and ate the rest. I got them with MMT 105X and they arrived on Monday. Might be the sexiest irons I’ve seen in person. My club opens back up on Sunday and I’ll be out there to give them a test drive. If all goes well I might be selling some Mizuno’s ?

We’ll find out tomorrow. Playing in Palm Beach tomorrow, Jupiter on Sunday and Palm City on Monday. My only issue is gonna be wedge gapping switching from the 245’s. My luck I’ll have tons of 125yd shots lol.

They’re impeccable.
Anyone else get a little flutter when these clubs bounce to the top of the list?

Even when I know I shouldn’t buy them. That still doesn’t make the desire to own a set go away.

Well the weekend report is in…. Played a round with the 3D’s yesterday and they’re nice. My swing yesterday didn’t do them any justice. Also not sure I’m a fan of MMT’s. There’s not much feel in them. Probably gonna pull them and throw jn Dart 105 F5’s. Played this morning and left them at home mainly cause of the shaft and lack of gapping on the end. I might take them out during the week for a quick 9 at the home course but they won’t get any serious play until I can get the shafts changed.
Awesome to hear they are working well. Some great feedback here you can read and contribute to:
