Cobra Palm Tree Crew Driver

COBRA x Palm Tree Crew Limited Edition OPTM X Driver

COBRA Golf has made a habit of regularly dropping limited edition drivers throughout the year, and they’ve become something that we look forward to. Whether inspired by iconic figures in the game or collaborations outside the sport, these releases typically blend recognizable design elements with the same performance technology found in the standard lineup.

The newest entry follows that same approach. COBRA has partnered once again with DJ Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew brand for the COBRA x Palm Tree Crew Limited Edition OPTM X Driver, a collaboration inspired by Kygo’s long-standing friendship with COBRA ambassador Rickie Fowler. The result is a driver that pairs the relaxed Palm Tree Crew aesthetic with the same technology found in COBRA’s current metalwood lineup.

As Fowler put it, “Kygo and I have built this partnership over years of friendship, and each collab just keeps getting better. The new limited-edition driver and headcover deliver TOUR-level performance while capturing Palm Tree Crew’s signature beach aesthetic in a way that feels authentic to both brands.”

Palm Tree Crew Style

The Palm Tree Crew brand has developed a recognizable identity rooted in music, travel and a laid-back beach lifestyle. That influence carries directly into the look of the driver. The limited-edition design incorporates beach-inspired graphics along with a custom Palm Tree Crew aesthetic that stands apart from the standard retail version.

As with many of COBRA’s limited drops, the visual elements are meant to add personality without altering the core engineering that drives performance.

OPTM X Technology

While the cosmetics may be new, the performance platform is familiar. The Palm Tree Crew edition is built from the same OPTM X driver foundation that features several of COBRA’s most recent technologies.

At the center of the design is POI (Product of Inertia) shaping, which focuses on controlling how the clubhead rotates through impact. While most golfers are familiar with MOI, which measures resistance to twisting on off-center hits, POI measures how the head rotates diagonally across multiple axes at once. By lowering POI through shaping and adaptive weighting, COBRA aims to reduce gear effect and tighten shot dispersion down range.

According to COBRA, the OPTM X design can reduce shot dispersion by up to 23 percent through the combination of improved shaping and weight placement.

The driver also features Adaptive POI Weighting, allowing mass to be positioned to further influence stability and accuracy depending on player needs.

Behind the face, COBRA continues to utilize its H.O.T. Face technology, which uses artificial intelligence to map variable thickness patterns across the face. The goal is simple: maintain speed across a larger portion of the hitting area so that ball speed holds up even when contact drifts away from center.

FutureFit33 Adjustability

Another key component is COBRA’s FUTUREFIT33 adjustable hosel system, one of the most flexible fitting tools currently available in drivers.

The system provides 33 unique loft and lie settings, allowing golfers and fitters to adjust those variables independently. This creates an unusually wide range of potential setups compared to traditional hosel systems where loft and lie adjustments are linked together.

For players who enjoy dialing in launch and directional bias, FUTUREFIT33 opens the door to a level of customization that few drivers currently match.
