If you haven’t taken public transportation with your full bag to Marovitz, are you really even a Chicago golfer? (The two-bus route is true dedication, my friend!)
I used to ride a bike about 30-45 minutes to golf.
It wasn’t quite bus worthy, but it was my version of dedication haha
and you love us, we love you dan.
In hockey you wear and sweat into gloves. If your hands are cold you’re not skating hard enough haha.
and I am absolutely an Instapot guy.
Thanks buddy!!! I hope they keep getting better and better over time.
They make golf gloves for both hands …. just saying
As for the Instapot think if there aren’t picture or video evidence it didn’t happen
Maybe an episode of OffCourse dedicated to Dan’s Favorite InstaPot recipes …. and golf!
My “just in case” tee time this morning was at 9:30. At 8, it was 32. I cancelled. The high today is 56 or so and sunny but we’re not above 50 until 11ish. If I could’ve gotten, say, an 11 am tee time, that would’ve been fine. 50ish is my cutoff, if it is sunny and no wind. And it has to be there or above for the round. Clouds or wind added and it’s a different story. I have too many joints that ache when it is cold. Add drizzle or mist and I’m out. I’d rather be home warm and dry thinking about playing golf than miserable on the course.
When I was in high school, the cafeteria had these amazing yeast rolls. I don’t eat a ton of bread but I’d be as big as a damned house if I could make those.
Great show as always, Dan.
haha, I do need to post more in the instantpot thread.
Also, if I sweat in golf gloves during winter… something isn’t functioning properly.
Probably that vest thing you like so much isn’t working properly makes winter feel that much colder ?
Eddy 2 gloves?
there is too much math going on here.
Fun listen. McEwan seems like a good dude that I would like to golf with at some point.
Really enjoyed the food discussion between the bread baking and the instapots.
Agree about the personality aspects of the Match and finding a good mix to make that more entertaining.
Dan hates Ross? Added to the Ignore list.
It’s on. ?

SAME! (75% hydration, 25% Wheat, 75% all-purpose)
I hate turtleback greens. It’s such a cheap and trashy way to make a course difficult.
I’m a tiered green guy 100%.
hahahaha
"why did you get into bread making?"
"some golfer on the internet told me it was a good time"
….K
Why? It is a joke.
I feel like I am centering in on another hot topic for the pod.
If it is what I’m thinking, I think this will be a really good one
topic 1 – bulldoze every turtleback green in the world. Prove me wrong
well then the USGA has to find 30 new venues for USGA events in the next 20 years since they sold out to Pinehurst
( i adore Pinehurst, hate the usga committing so many events there)
Let’s get it!
oh wow, nice form!
Having fun with it?
It was actually really good for a completely new thing for me. Looking forward to the next one. ?
It was 38 when I went to the range today but… no wind. Not a problem. If the wind was up, no chance I would’ve hit balls.
38 is pretty damn chilly!
Hot hands in play or no?
Nah, just wore some mittens.
Base layer, polo, quarter zip, jacket and a beanie hat. No bother, no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes
Couple of things I effing hate about winter golf though;
Winter greens, completely pointless and I loathe them with all the fury of hell.
Tees that are basically frozen solid, you can’t get a tee in, and they can actually be dangerous, have half a mind on staying upright when you swing.
The ground is solid so a bounce can go 30 yards in any random direction, means if you’re playing a blind shot then it is sheer luck if you find your ball.
Ya never know where THP will take you.
You might get talked into a 3H, a pizza oven, a bread machine, etc etc.
Send me a chunk of that bacon bread though, lol.

Was also imaginary fist bumping @Canadan repeatedly towards the end. True value of the FW, 58 as highest loft, stick with the ball… good stuff.
haha, a golf bag worth celebrating for sure! ?
that’s damn cold…..
Do it!!! It’s chilly out there.
If it’s below freezing I’m out!!!
I played a par 3 course when it was in the upper teens. I will not do it again. The greens were like concrete. The ball would hit the green and rocket over it with a huge bounce. It was not pleasant
