CON.STRUCT Golf Apparel

You have most likely never heard of CON.STRUCT Golf apparel, but we are about to change that.

Sure, the golf apparel segment continues to get more and more crowded, but I personally don’t think that is a bad thing, especially when the goal of some companies it not just to differentiate, but to innovate for the modern times. That is precisely where CON.STRUCT hopes to come into the picture, with their aim to blend classic with modern looks as well as production and #ConstrucAVibe.

Who are CON.STRUCT?

The entire premise behind the brand lies in its name. As they mention on their website, a construct is literally an idea which contains various conceptual parts within it. That is where CON.STRUCT is aligning itself around the notion of bringing a new interpretation on the all too often tradition-tied apparel segment.

All things for the company center around being Authentic, Carefree, and Timeless. It is the realization that you can create products that are appealing while also unique, or at least that is the goal. Unsurprisingly, at first glance you will see patterns and out of the box ideas when perusing CON. STRUCT’s offerings. However, the closer look tells the story of a brand also committed to just being better whether through their charity work, the application of cutting edge material treatments to eliminate odor-causing bacterial growth, or ethically and sustainably produced products.

No matter where you stand on it, CON.STRUCT is a modern brand that fits the trend of the world right now, and there is something refreshing about that. But this isn’t just about the brands story, we also got a closer look at three key products of theirs that range from mild to wild, read on for more.

CON.STRUCT Solid Performance Polo

The Solid Performance Polo is priced at $78.00 and is essentially their baseline polo, it is available in five different solid colors with a 95% recycled polyester and 5% spandex makeup. The three-button placket does have a fun little golf ball pattern behind it to add a little whimsy to the polo, but for the most part what you see is what you get.

CON.STRUCT Blue Polo

One thing that stood out immediately to me is the weight of the shirt, it has a little substance to it without being stuffy, if that makes sense. This is a big part of why I think it would work so well on and off the course. Now, it is a slim fit design according to CON.STRUCT, and as a golfer who typically wears a large (like what we were sent) I can definitely confirm the cut. It is not the most euro style I have seen, but in the chest especially it is a fitted design. For me, I was very impressed by the materials and look, but I would go up a size from what I typically wear. That said, if you are into the more fitted look then this checks that box with ease.

CON.STRUCT Hotdog Performance Polo

You saw the clean and simple, now take a look at how CON.STRUCT has fun. The Hotdog Performance Polo is also priced at $78.00 and while I know some might be getting ready to yell at the clouds about how busy it is, you cannot argue they absolutely went for it when it comes to fun.

CON.STRUCT Print Polo with dogs

This one has the same 95% recycled polyester to 5% spandex makeup that the Solid Performance does so it should be no surprise that it also has the same nice heft and quality to it in hand. The three-button placket and spread collar sit and wear well and are anything but stiff. Where fit goes, this too is a “slim fit” design and was definitely snug through the chest and arms. As with the Solid Performance Polo, as a golfer who wears a large in most standard cuts, I would move up to an XL for this one.

CON.STRUCT Solid Windbreaker

Finally, the most expensive piece I was able to get in hand, the Solid Windbreaker comes in at $148.00 and if I am being honest it feels like a throwback in all the best ways. It seems present day most outer wear has simply moved to either quarter-zips or traditional outer layer style full-zips and you don’t see the true windbreaker much anymore. Well, this is a true windbreaker.

CON.STRUCT Solid Windbreaker with full zip

Though we got the “Olive” colorway in for this article, there are three other options including a very cool “golf ball” one. This is a 100% recycled material made design and it is super light while keeping its effectiveness in the springtime Oklahoma winds here which are a true test. Internally, the mesh lining is a fun tropical leaf motif and honestly, it’s the kind of piece which is versatile. You might have guessed already, but this too is a “slim fit” cut, although in the chest here there is more room and, in my opinion, it makes it more wearable for someone like me. But the elastic band which keeps the windbreaker effective around the base is definitely slim. If you are a traditional cut person, a size up is the way to go, but for the modern folks this is spot on size wise and impeccable quality.

The Details

It was a lot of fun to check out something outside the box of “normal” as far as companies who enter into the golf segment go. While it would be nice to see some expansions as far as the cut goes, they are one hundred percent in line with their target demographic right now in my opinion, and I mean that in the best way possible.
