Earlier this year, 7 lucky THP Forum Members got a chance to head to San Diego to the Project X office and learn more about shafts at the THP Event called The HandCrafted Experience. This was not just an education seminar however, as each participant got to create a Custom Project X shaft.
Working with the Head of Innovation, Don Brown, each began the full day process. Working on EI profiles, through explaining what they were seeing with a test shaft and what they preferred seeing with their ball flight, they created the design. Then moving on to graphics, the participants each got to do anything they wanted to the shaft to call it their own.
Once the design is complete (both in physical and aesthetically), each person rolled their own shaft before it heads to the oven for curing. This is what the HandCrafted Experience is all about, creating perfection, with assistance from some of the best in the business.
The results, as you can see in the quick video above, are downright beautiful and extremely unique. We talk a lot about limited edition items and nothing is more rare than these 1 of 1 masterpieces created by the golfer, for the golfer.
