Back in November we broke the story that SIK Putters had been acquired by LA Golf. Since that time, not a lot has come in the way of announcements from either side, but today that changes with the introduction of the first LA Golf putter using the Descending Loft Face Technology.
If you are unsure about what made SIK unique, we broke it down in this quick video above.
LA Golf believes they are bringing the most technologically advanced putter to market featuring an all carbon fiber head, large diameter anti-vibration shaft, stainless steel hosel, and Descending Loft Face Technology.

LA Golf’s ultra-stiff, large diameter putter shaft prevents wiggle in the head at impact, ensuring the ball rolls straight on the intended line. “My mind was blown when I first tried the LA Golf putter. It just rolls so pure off the face.” said Michelle Wie West, golf icon and newest LA Golf partner.
This first model, priced at $1,500, will be offered in several lengths with a Jumbo Lite grip. This unique putter is now available for pre-order at LAGOLF.co
What do you think of their first endeavor into the hard goods space of putters? Does the technology or price intrigue you to give it a roll? Give us your thoughts below.

This putter head is using the same technology as found in a Richard Mille watch. The putter head body is CNC machined from a solid block of carbon. Using a lighter weight material like carbon provided LA Golf a lot of discretionary weight to redistribute and increase the MOI. Brilliant. Compared to a Richard Mille watch, this putter is a bargain. I can’t wait to try. Is there any demos? I would purchase this before I would buy a no tech limited Cameron with different paint fill.
Look what has come in for review…
Will get it on the table for pics tomorrow, but this is the shape I sort of chuckled at when I first saw it, but then rolling one in the Tech Studio made it a lot more pleasing. Visually, it won’t be for everyone, but the roll….

I’ve always liked that metal, not sure I like the lines of that putter. Needs some softening.

Looks wise it’s an awesome putter. As a heads up for someone interested in buying one, it’s a huge putter. That’s not a bad thing in my eyes but it might look a little silly in the beginning.
As for feel, I wasn’t really impressed. Not sure if it had a super tiny sweet spot or maybe I wasn’t lining it up properly given the size but everything felt stiff off the face, but it was consistent so there’s that. I would like to give it a try one more time to see if maybe I was missing something so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I will say the balance was as good as, if not better than any Scotty or Bettinardi I’ve used.

Macgregor response comes to mind.
The tech behind these is impressive, and both the blade and mallet look pretty sharp to me. Price is a bit of an ouchie, but there are more spendy ones out there for sure. Very interesting and like seeing more options out there. Very cool to see they offer LH too. That gets points with me for sure.

It might even be bigger. When we get unpacked, I can get some side by sides.

The macgregor response was a putter made back in the 80s. It was aluminium and huge. Jack won his last Masters using one.

I’m not sure I have it anymore, I think I still do. If not I will compare it to well known models to get an idea of size. Response might be in fathers garage
The innovative technology sounds interesting and just might prove to be the ticket to better putting success. With the price set for this putter I guess I’ll never know.
