In the fall of 2020, Titleist released their TSi lineup of drivers to the players on the PGA Tour. Collaboration over the next two years has brought us to today where the company is introducing both drivers and fairway metals at TPC River Highlands.
Over the next three days, Tour Reps will be working with players in the field fitting them into the new Titleist TSR lineup of metal woods. All leading to Thursday’s Opening round where we are sure to see a few in bags immediately.
With a vast tour staff, Titleist is the most played driver on the PGA Tour and has been for 3 years now. Their last/current release, the Titleist TSi has 25 victories under its belt in the 20 months or so since it hit the Tour Van.
For recent releases, Titleist has brought two options out immediately. The latest being the TSi2 and TSi3 and shortly thereafter rounding out the lineup with the TSi1 and TSi4. As you can see by the image above, that is being altered with the early tour release containing three different heads TSR2, TSR3 and TSR4.
While our typical deep dive into the tech will have to wait until the official launch, it will be a safe bet that TSR2 will fit a pretty high rate of golfers. Based on the image TSR3 features a similar weight movement to the current TSi3 and the TSR4 has more weight up front, which will be a lower spin model moving the center of gravity forward, while still keeping it low.
The company is not showing off the face as of yet, which was a big part of the story with the previous release and well liked by most THPers on our forum that put them in play. As they go in play this week on Tour, you can expect more to come out.
Have you tested out the current Titleist TSi driver lineup? Which model do you think would fit your game best? Drop us a comment below and start speculating on what you expect to see out of the new Titleist TSR when it gets released.
I’m sure that these things will be amazing and I’mvery disappointed the dates of their experience didn’t work for me because we are going to see some big smiles once these get into the hands of the lunatic fringe.
I. Can’t. Wait.
I am liking the Darth Vader vibe.
They make a 21 degree in the TSR2, which at that loft I would imagine spin from that model might be helpful?
Yes. I have the TSi2 7 wood and love it. I would just like to have the additional internal adjustability. Not really looking for spin adjustments. Maybe a slight size/shape difference. But either way the tsi2 7 is one of my fav clubs.
Excited to see the face eventually.
I just got one of those and am going to give it a try after the move.
Im not a FW Wood guy, but the 7 wood is intriguing.
so easy it is like cheating.
Haaaaammer time! But 3….or 4?
3… A little forgiveness is welcome. But a 4 would be super fun to try. I mean.. I have both the Tsi3 and 4.

But, what if I don’t want a little forgiveness? ?
Then go 4!!! Low spin bomber!

Tsi2/tsr2 fairway woods. Weight further forward and no speed (arc) channel behind the face.. Hmmm….

I wonder if the ARC channel is still there? But just not seen anymore? Just the sole covers it now.
I do like the forward weight though … more penetrating trajectory? Hmmmm
Maybe the ATI is a given now & doesn’t need to be advertised
yeah maybe.. I am just calling out difference because speculation is fun.. lol
It is fun isn’t it?
Of course, that’s why we’re here speculation IS fun
I don’t even care if I am right or wrong.. it is fun..
Wonder if it’s the angle of the pic or the R has a higher crown. Taking away a line on the face has to mean something.
Whatever it is I’m jumping right into the 4-4 comparison. Also wonder if the standard shaft options will be the same, hope at least one is.
The adapter looks more refined too.
I bet the speed channel is internal now.
That’s what I was thinking too

I like that the previous is very bowling ball. It’s a hammer but it is an compact little round monster.
