Most will not know the name, but he was a darn good player for the Pacers and Kings and a great player for Oklahoma in College. The craziest part was that he was even a better musician than a basketball player.

I had the chance to meet Wayman a few times and he was one of the nicest guys you would ever speak to. You will be missed.

This is sad to hear, I remember Tisdale from his days at OU. It was nice to see him honored at a Sooner game last year.

His battle with cancer has been about 2 years long and he was a classy man and dignified throughout everything.

And in college he was an AMAZING PLAYER.

I was shocked when the announcers said that he was battling cancer and had to have his leg amputated. He was way too young for all that.

Oh my gosh...I have a Tisdale album, I love the bass solos. That's a shocker that he died, he couldn't have been old at all.

The headline said Tisdale dies at 44.

Enjoy, and remember this is a bass.

He was an unbelievable player....both on the court and as a muscian. He was truly one of my favs and I just found about this in the forum today. What a shame to be taken away so young. He was a thoughtful and caring human. It just goes to show that often times it is not the quanity of the years we spend on earth but more about the quality of them and sharing with those who are most dear to us.

I was unfamiliar with who he was but he sounded like a great man and I am so sorry for his loss and my thoughts and prayers go out to his friends, family, and loved ones.
