Best Way to Cook Hot Dogs

we would electrocute them when I was a kid. cooked from the inside out. surprisingly good.

The best has to be over a fire. Next is grilled.
 
Baked in a crescent roll is one favorite way otherwise grilled.
 
Last time I had a dog it was over a camp fire, otherwise in the microwave is fine for me.

Had a friend when I was a kid that would pull a pack of Oscar Meyer from the fridge and eat one cold. No thanks
 
Ha - I just commented on the Irishman thread, and in that movie they mentioned Lum's. When I lived in FL as a kid, I really loved their hot dogs. In the movie, they said that Lum's cooked their hot dogs by pouring beer over them while on the griddle and letting them cook in the resulting steam. I can't wait to try that next time I cook hot dogs!
 
my best friend's father's response would probably be "it's fine straight outta the fridge".
