Stopped by the locally famous Arbetter’s hot dogs in Miami today. Went chili dog, New York dog, and fries. Washing it down with a Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry.

Oh my. First off, the soda choice makes you a genius.
Second that is one awesome hot dog place.

I was going to go cream soda, but I literally thought to myself JB would have went with the DBBC and made the switch. I usually only have it when I am eating a pastrami, but today an exception was made in your honor.

Little Friday afternoon snack treat. Anyone else a fan of Boba (Bubble) Tea? I went with the black sugar dalgona today.

I am almost embarrassed to say that I haven’t had one, but I really need to.
This needs to happen. The place where I got the one I posted is really excellent and has probably over 30 different options. I love dalgona, but any of the coffee ones are great as well. My all time favorite is Chica, but there is only one place around here that has it and its not the most convenient for me to get to unless I get food from there as well.

What do I look for, or what should I order the first time?

i've only had it once, during one of disney's food & wine events at epcot. it was very off-putting. i'd try it again from a place that does it better, but we didn't enjoy disney's version at all.

Haven’t had the most authentic experiences so take this with a grain of salt, but milk tea is my typical go to and my wife will always order honeydew if they have it

Black sugar milk tea and taro milk tea are two of my favorites. If it has dalgona in the name, that means that the non-milk component will be whipped, which gives it that layered look and makes you stir or shake the flavors together. If there is something with coffee in it, then its a safe bet usually. I stay away from "pudding milk" because it is think and overly sweet, to me anyway. The balls are made of tapioca and have a squishy texture, like really soft gummy bears, but have no real taste.

I would be curious to know what you had. some of the flavors can be a bit much, like the macha and thai tea.

I'm not in this thread enough - that looks fantastic.
It was, and may or may not have been my second one of the week.

no idea. the flavor was tea-esque, with sweet cream and those slimy squishy tapioca balls. it was just, weird...
