Damn, these fries are so good. Cheese sauce and brisket on top. We are at a literal hole in the wall near our house, it’s called Hate Mondays Tavern. Run out of a warehouse, it has 6 tables and a line out the door. So good. @JB and @GolferGal If you are even in the area and got the time, This is a spot. Feels lien being at a Triple D spot before it gets on the show.

I made blueberry bread pudding with a brulee crust on top. Used a loaf pan and made it a touch drier than normal so I could make slices and turn it into French toast. I didn't eat it but made it for family and friends. PXL_20220731_194317235.jpg

Getting ready for my trips through the south over the next 30 days, so my wife and I came to a southern style brunch spot called Root & Bone. It’s an excellent restaurant. Here is the menu and a couple drinks. Wife went with the specialty Bloody Mary. I went with a “free bird” which is tequila, dill agave (😍) fresh lime and fresh OJ. Both are really exceptional.

Spoiler: we ordered the bacon board 😳

Yea, that stuff hanging above the cheese is the pork belly. Picture doesn’t do it much justice. It was a thick piece.
Was a very good flavor combination
 
Yeah for sure, it was our first time but we will go back. My wife had duck and I had the steak. Good stuff.

They recommend a reservation but you could have walked in tonight without a problem.

Nice, I'll check it out next time we head that way. My wife and I's orders will be reversed though!
