Since I know there are more than a few of us on here, I figured this would be well received. Enjoy...

Best branch of the US Armed Forces?

A Soldier, a Sailor, an Airman and a Marine got into an argument about which branch of the service was The Best. The arguing became so heated the four servicemen failed to see an oncoming truck as they crossed the street. They were hit by the truck and killed instantly. Soon, the four servicemen found themselves at the Pearly gates of Heaven.

There, they met Saint Peter and decided that only he could be the ultimate source of truth and honesty. So, the four servicemen asked him, Saint Peter, which branch of the United States Armed Forces is the best? Saint Peter replied, I cant answer that. However, I will ask God what He thinks the next time I see Him.

Meanwhile, thank you for your service on Earth and welcome to Heaven. Sometime later the four servicemen see Saint Peter and remind him of the question they had asked when first entering Heaven and asked Saint Peter if he was able to ask God for the answer to their answer.? Suddenly, a sparkling white dove lands on Saint Peters shoulder. In the doves beak is a note glistening with gold dust.

Saint Peter opens the note, trumpets blare, gold dust drifts into the air, harps play crescendos and Saint Peter begins to read the note aloud to the four servicemen:

MEMORANDUM FROM THE DESK OF THE ALMIGHTY TO: All Former Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines
SUBJECT: Which Military Service Is the Best

1. All branches of the United States Armed Forces are honorable and noble.
2. Each serves America well and with distinction.
3. Serving in the United States military represents a great honor warranting special respect, tribute, and dedication from your fellow man. 4. Always be proud of that.

Warm Regards, GOD, USAF, Ret.

For me its the Marines. First to go in, last to leave. Navy is a close 2nd but if I could do it all over again, Id become a Marine and not look back.

The navy seal jumps overboard and swims six miles to land. He spends 6 months living in the jungle eating grubs and drinking rainwater. He goes to sleep every night thinking “Man I love this s***!!!”

The Army ranger jumps out of a helicopter 30 miles behind enemy lines. He spends the next month sneaking back towards the front line, causing mayhem and destruction, sleeping on the ground. Every night he goes to sleep thinking “Man I love this s***!”

The Air Force comm troop lands in Germany after a 20 hour flight and 12 hours of layovers. He checks into his hotel and and turns on the tv. “No cable?! Man! F*** this s***!!”

The USAF was originally the Army Air Corp. So, based on the God's signature block shown above that would mean the Army is best. :D

Go Army, Beat Navy!!

He may have started in the Army, but He retired from the USAF.

Well played!

Seriously though, I had a unique 21-year career in the army. I had the pleasure of working closely at times with people from all the major services and a few of the 3-letter agencies. I've lived and worked on Navy, Air Force, and Army installations around the world (including the sandboxes). I can honestly say that all the services have their place and purpose, and employ their unique capabilities to a very high level when it counts. That being said, there are dirtbags everywhere, myself included on occasion! I have nothing but respect for those who choose to serve and do so with integrity.

Oh yeah, GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!!

The United States Army for those of you wondering.

RLTW!

Go Army! Beat Navy!

Sixteen years ago, the Army hired me when everyone else said a high school dropout with a GED was under-educated, so obviously I'm biased.

Now that I work in the cyber operations field, I feel like it's been a mutually beneficial relationship.

Since I've never served I say all of them kick ass.

Semper Fi Mac!

Aim Hi!

There is no BEST branch. They all serve a purpose and I an proud to have served in the Air Force but have much respect for every branch.

Since I am now in a house divided, I am conflicted. USMC for me '82 - '92 and now my son a Green Beret as part of 3rd Special Forces Group, I'm gonna go with the Coast Guard :bulgy-eyes:

You speak the truth! #GoNavy

Come from a long line of sailors and had the pleasure of serving on the same ship with my brother (USS SCOTT DDG-995)... easy answer #GoNavy

I'm in the Air Force but really they are all great and have unique and specific capabilities.

Its one big team in the end. MERICA

I was in the Air Force, reported to the Army, deployed under Navy command... and we all brought along the Marines for entertainment. :act-up:

All one big family as far as I'm concerned. Nothing but respect to all my brothers & sisters of the past, today, and the future.
