Bad news at the OB/GYN!

My wife and I had something pop up on an ultrasound for our second and we were sent to a specialist. Was told what they were seeing could mean a lot of things even a stillbirth. Everything turned out fine with no issues in the end, but it was an agonizing two weeks from the time went the first ultrasound to the time we got to see the specialist. Our minds raced to every possible bad scenario. I know it’s hard to do at this moment, but it is out of your control at this point. I had to remind myself to be positive and be there for my wife. I’m praying for you and your family.

Ultimately, our kid was born just fine. My point is, even when it looks like things are down, there is always a chance that they can turn right back up. Same here. With our second we received some really concerning news which turned our lives upside down for a period of time. We were told there was a very high chance of birth defects. My little girl is now about to turn 4 and is 100% happy and healthy. Put it in GODS hands. Ill be praying for you and your family

Praying for a positive ultrasound for you guys!

Not a dad yet but she's pulling the goalie soon then wait a month or two for hormones to chill.. Her concern is being closer to 30 than she wanted, and it gets me a little worried to but we just gotta have faith.

Tough not to be anxious in your situation, JBCIII. Thinking about you and your family tonight and sending all the positive thoughts I can muster to you and your family.
 
I hope everything turns out well. Wife and I have been through something close. If you ever need someone to chat with, don't hesitate. Will have your family in our prayers.

My wife and I went for her first ultrasound today, followed by an appointment to see the OB/GYN. Saw the baby on the monitor! 8 weeks old, 1.5" long, 180 hbpm. The doctor looked at the ultrasound and said she sees fluid in the chest cavity. Could be the heart, could be the lungs. She said sometimes this corrects itself and some times it's a precursor to a birth defect! They scheduled my wife to get another ultrasound at a specialist's office and to get some genetic testing done in 2-3 weeks. I swear my life is nothing but ups and downs! There is never any middle ground!I NEED ​this next test to come back fine!!!
