Horse Racing

I saw a Kentucky Derby thread but I didn’t see one for horse racing. With the annual Saratoga Meet beginning on Thursday just north of me, I thought I’d see if there are any horse racing fans out there. As for me, I have been going to the races for almost 50 years and previously have been a part owner of a thoroughbred. In addition to being a fan, I have also been known to enjoy wagering a few dollars.

I don't know a thing about horse racing but my best friend is a minority owner with a stable of 5 or 6 horses.

He's a compulsive gambler so it makes sense, horse racing is his niche. Few months ago I watched one of his horses run but he only had about 6 different bet slips from Aqueduct, Saratoga, etc.

Those SuperFecta's to pay well haha

I haven't gone yet this year, but I used to work there when I was younger. My father is retired and goes just about every day.

Sitting at the club yesterday afternoon with my friends betting a few horse races and liked this 46-1 bomb in the Gotham Stakes at Aqueduct. Took him $10 WPS and also keyed him with 3 others in the Exacta and Trifecta. 8/3,5,7. Won by a nose, $1,219 win!
