I need to find myself a mallet. I always go on streaks where I need a blade or need a mallet, and right now, the blade isn't gettin' it done!

nope- if you were at DIcks some JA would have let his kids go play with he putters while he was looking at the guns and fishing stuff, the kids would be taking full swings with putters and kicking them and running down the aisles after the balls.....

He actually just started putting out putters again very recently. I contacted him 5 or so years ago and it sounded like he was basically out of the game. A guy at my club just recently purchased the Genuine Havana that is listed on their site. He really likes it and putts very well with it. He names the majority of his putters after towns in close proximity to Thomasville, GA where he and I both live.

Picked up an Odyssey 2 ball SRT from someone selling it local. Looks brand spanking new.
Not bad for $25 I think.

I only have two putters.

(1) An old Odyssey DF-550 blade putter, that is currently in my bag. It's old, ancient, but I still sink putts with it!

(2) A "component" mallet putter, that was actually made for me ($20 bucks!) years and years ago. The story goes that a friend of my nextdoor neighbor used to build golf clubs in his basement as a hobby (Diamond Tour, Pine Meadow, etc..). Well, one day he stopped over at my neighbors and he called me and told me to come over. One thing led to another, and the friend measured me, told me all about his hobby of building clubs/assembling them from components. So, anyway, he told me for $20 bucks he'd make me a putter, similar to an Odyssey Rossie II mallet putter --- and he did, and even included a glued-in label with my name on it!

Edit: My favorite is the old Odyssey DF-550. I mean, I loved the fact that that friend of my neighbors made me the "clone/copy" of a Rossie II, but, I always had to radically change my putting stroke with it. Due to some type of face balance or no real toe hang or whatever, The mallet putter DEMANDED an absolute straight back and forth, pendulum putting stroke.

This has just joined the other six putters I have. I wanted one with massive toe hang and I like the Palm Beach and Huntington Beach. I now cover all bases from face-balanced.

Clearly that hideous grip is going straight in the bin, have ordered a Matador Mid-Size for it.

Here's a few of them, mostly from Odyssey. I have another 20 or so, including a few exact duplicates of some of these ones at our home in northern Minnesota. I'm currently putting with the center shafted O'Works and my putting inside of 8 feet is better than it's been in decades. I putted my best with a center shafted putter back in my 20's but for some reason I haven't used a center shaft in over 20 years until a month ago.
