Cleveland RTX-4 Wedges

They are very easy to use, too. They have become point and shoot. I do like the mid bounce on all of my wedges as well.

Designed with the feedback from the tour players in mind...I’m not surprised. The RTX4 line is a homerun for Cleveland!

I just bought a new RTX4 54 Mid as I’d bought an MD4 54W which the shop informed me they couldn’t get hold of this morning.

So, found one on the bay for £75 still wrapped. Will give it a go as my primary club from 80y to 30y in as I was loving my G410 SW for that, but sold it for a specialist wedge. If it doesn’t work out I’ll be trying a new Mack Daddy 5 when they’re released as I like the 4. I’m expecting it to work out though, I don’t anticipate anything other than straight pitching and long chips with this club.

It still blows my mind how clean and fast the ball jumps off the face out of rough lies around the greens (assuming there's not a bunch of grass behind the ball).

Feels like cheating sometimes.

I checked out a 56 RTx4 2-dot at the golf store and I've gotta say I was freaking impressed. I thought the shape was WAY nicer than RTx3 and it had a cool looking finish.

I really need to get some time in with these. I played the 2.0 and RTX 3, but for some reason I've overlooked the 4. I think mostly because I've been pretty happy with my NL wedges and keep getting drawn in by the HiToe wedges.

It’s impressive from a clean contact perspective. I still marvel at how well the ball comes off.

I'll have pretty much every grind in the 60 degree in tow this weekend. You should take some reps with them.

and I'm not afraid of 60° wedges anymore

I played with someone the other day that had the Tour 4’s but didn’t examine them so unsure. He said they were not available yet so maybe these were them?!

Have to admit, the photos of them look pretty cool

This is so true

How do these compare to the 588 Tour Action? I still have a 56 and 60 degree in my bag.

What grind do you think would be comparable to the Vokey M Grind?

Interested in replacing an old sm6 58* but not sure which to go with.

The M grind is close to the Low grind in RTX4.... Theyre both playable for full shots sure, but its the best when needing to open the face. Both grinds are designed for neutral to shallow attack angles. I the the Mid grind in my 52 and low grind in 58. Out of tight lies or fairways I slightly open the face with the low grind and it performs way better than not opening it. Out of the rough I dont have to open the low grind at all unless I need that higher, softer landing shot

Thinking of replacing my Cleveland 588 gun metal 56 and 60 with the RTX4. Any reason not to go with the same bounce in the RTX4 as my 588's? 56 is 14 degree and 60 is 3 degree.

Well yes and no. If you like it, run with it. The sole design of the RTX 4 is very different than the 588 was, so its something to consider.

I think i will go with the 56 10 mid and 60 low.

The RTX-4 continue to amazing me with how much spin they make with an otherwise pedestrian swing. I had a chip with the 52/mid from about 70 yards yesterday which went long, but checked up when it landed on the back edge of the green and held, giving me a putting opportunity.

I continue to have a bit of issue with the 56/low, but it’s defiantly operator error. As a higher handicap, I don’t always make a consistent strike, so the extra bounce from the mid grind really helps get the club head back into a better position when my swing becomes steep. I am way more comfortable with the mid bounce, and will be adding the 56/mid to my bag next week I believe.

tried something new with my wedges that ive only read about and always wanted to do.. I play PX 6.5 in my irons and always found wedge shafts and the stock DG s400 to be too loose for my swing. I put and 8 iron shaft PX 7.0 and butt trimmed to length....

The 52 and 58 were spinning like crazy! I can use the 52 for full swings and always prefer it as my go to around the greens. the 58 I use from the sand and if I dont have a lot of green to work with. Yesterday with the 58 within 25 yards the ball would land, bounce once and stop on a dime! These wedges already have had the best spin in my opinion, but yesterday it was so fun being extremely aggressive and watching the ball stop immediately

50 yard pitches with the 52 flew low and looked hot off the face. the ball would bounce twice, stop, and check back a foot. Ive never done that before and it was the best short game day ive had in a long long time... Also the project x black shafts look awesome

Did a short game clinic today with Minjee Lees coach. Damn that guys good.

Got me hitting the best explosion bunker shots I've ever hit. I have absolutely no fear using the 54 and 58 rtx4's from greenside bunkers. Can feel the bounce working so well. These clubs are amazing.

I just ordered a 62* low bounce tour raw. I should be picking it up Monday. Yea!
