To get true ball numbers. Outside is great, dont get me wrong, but I was hitting range balls, with Trackman normalized for Pro V1s.

I haven't seen enough data to fully trust Trackmans normalization scheme, or how they arrive at one.

Quick question for the participants. How or where did you guys get fit for the driver? TaylorMade Demo day event or a fitter?

I made an Appt with a fitter at the PGA Super Store near me for and hour and a half. I explained the purpose or why just M5 and M6 and we went through all the shafts and combinations for my swing using the TP5 ball on every shot.

I wouldn't call mine a fitting, I went to the local golf shop & hit balls. Shaft selection was very limited so I didnt hit too many different combo's.

I have played some of the RTJ course around southern Alabama and everyone I talk to about Grand National, they say it is one of the best. I am so ready. #taylormade #injectedspeed

I traveled about 75 miles to a TM demo day. I had tried the M5 and M6 on two other occasions at box stores with their stock offering shafts and for whatever reason, I could not get along with those. The demo day allowed me to try some of the upgrade shafts.

So here is a funny thing that happened...

Pasted a drive, followed by an 8 iron that went about 120yds.

Hmm, I thought to my self. Felt like I hit that well. Oh well.

Chipped up, and marked. Was wiping off ball, when I notice an odd line...

I fell in love with the RB tourx, it is so good. But this ball had 20 holes on it, and split like an old balata.

I did not hit it thin, aka cut it. The cover straight tore open.

Yeah, went back to TP5 after. Which is how it always goes. Everytime I try a new ball, I always end up back at TP5, they're just too good.
