Callaway Supersoft Magna - anyone playing this ball?

Callaway Supersoft Magna got some attention when it was introduced due to it being a larger ball. Anyone playing this ball?

Yea, I tried it a few times. I lost about a half club of distance with it, maybe more. I don't think its the ball for me, I bought them just to try because I love Callaway.

After seeing this thread last week I bought a couple of dozen near mint ones on EBay. They were just delivered today, but I’m out of town. I hope to try them out soon.

I think this is a great ball for the once a year player who is out with their buddies and he doesn't want to embarrass himself. Any regular golfer might consider these just weird. However, I enjoyed chipping with them.

Oversize balls like that are conforming, but I'd really like to try the old 1.62" balls that they used to play in R&A jurisdictions.
They were wound with balata covers, so maybe not, now that I think of it.
