So this summer for kicks, I built a set of clubs (C300 forged with Accra 90i). I made a mess of it, swingweights all over the place, but that's for another thread.
One club stands out. A 4i but with a swingweight down at C8. I was talking to my local fitter and he was indicating counterbalanced irons were trending in favour. Whatever the case, I basically carry that club in place of my 4h now. It's so stupid easy to hit and it's effortless to swing.
Not sure what swingweight would be classified as counterbalanced (pretty sure it's not C8) but I am really intrigued with the way that club feels.
Anyone mess with their irons to play lighter in the head?
