Lake Tahoe Open - Part Deux - 2019

Lake Tahoe is a place my wife and I really want to visit and almost went there for our anniversary trip this year. I'm almost thinking I might be able to talk her in to taking the trip next year and I could join for at least one of the rounds. That area looks gorgeous!

With all the interest in Part Deux, we may buck the trend of sequels sucking

If I am invited back I will definitely want to be there.

Depending on the Weekend, I am going to try my hardest to make this trip.

Timing might get me again next year. The initial weekend posted by itsOpeningDay is likely a problem for me, as its the weekend of my wife's 60th birthday. Talk about needing some "Family Karma Points", we did 10 days in Hawaii for my 60th, "Hey honey, I'm going golfing at Tahoe with the guys" isn't likely to work for hers.

Was just a ballpark date... will begin thinking more in depth here soon.

That weekend is a no go for me also, my wife is turning 38 that weekend. If it gets changed I will find a way to make it.

Hahaha, that is awesome!

Yes!!!

I have a nephew in Truckee and my wife loves it out there. We spent a week out there this September, God is it a beautiful part of the country. Depending on the final date, this is definite possibility.

This has been on my mind lately...

If you are at all interested in joining us.. please feel free to enter your Forum name in "The Field" section as well as all of the weekends that are available to you next summer. I will do my best to pick a firm date ahead of time that will allow more attendees.

Lake Tahoe Open 2019 Entry Form

The headliner of the event will more than likely be Edgewood Tahoe but we will be adding a course or two as well.

Just contacted the Genoa Lakes course(s) about our potential outing. I think this location would be a perfect fit with Edgewood (if we decide to do that). They would even shuttle bus 12-20 people from wherever we decide to stay... for free.

#1 – The Lakes Course
Luxury and performance are the name of the game on the Lakes Course. Co-designed by PGA Champion Peter Jacobsen and John Harbottle III, this links-style course with rolling fairways meets head-on with the eastern slopes of the breathtaking Sierra Nevada Mountains. Lush wetlands and the winding Carson River bring water into 14 holes of play, making long, straight drives the order of the day.

#1 – The Ranch Course
Built for power and distance, the Ranch Course cuts into the rugged Sierra Nevada foothills, just two miles from the Lakes Course. Johnny Miller and John Harbottle III were the driving force behind this course, which offers wide open spaces and spectacular high desert views. Over 300 feet of elevation changes, more than 100 bunkers, unpredictable mountain terrain, afternoon breezes and a waterfall challenge players to a crash course in championship golf.

@itsOpeningDay - great job once again. Thank you. You are killing it with what you are lining up. That last course looks phenomenal.

Filled out the form and I'm good any of those weekends!

For several years in a row friends and I did a Carson City 3 course golf trip. We played both Genoa Lakes courses and also Sunridge:

We stayed a couple of nights at one of the Carson City casino hotels, and all three courses were within a short drive distance. Good memories of fun times.

I need to figure out what dates work for me but this is an easy trip for me

Interested.

Haven't gotten anything close to concrete. Just started to send feelers out to everyone.
