Think I'm gonna be coming to Hollywood for a Poker Tournament and the only time I was in Miami (05) was to watch my Sooners get pillaged by USC & I didn't golf.

Im admittedly a spoiled brat when it comes to golf. I don't pay $100 for crappy courses and I like to play courses in great shape and will pay xtra for it. What are some can't misses? I googled TPC and it's not close. I will have a car. Also are there better beaches an others and any dining options that are a must? I'm at your mercy. Thanks in advance

@BigDill @Canes can help

Hollywood to TPC Heron Bay isn't awful, but it isn't ideal either. I haven't lived down there in years so I am not sure what the good local courses are anymore.

I am assuming that you will be at the Seminole Hard Rock. It's away from the beach and not near to any great golf courses. Ditto restaurants. You will have to travel a little to get what you are looking for. Ft. Lauderdale is the better beach and dining area. Check with the concierge (or fellow poker players) for advice.

If you're staying at the Seminole Hard Rock casino, they'll help you with a tee time at Grande Oaks GC. It's a private course minutes from the resort and one of the best tracks in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area. They actually filmed Caddyshack at this course

If not staying at SHR and looking for public golf then check out Jacaranda or Plantation Preserve. Both courses usually host US open qualifiers and always in great shape.

Send me a PM if you have any questions
