Official Hole In One Thread

Crazy.... crazy day. Second ace in 2 weeks.

110 yards, a 3/4ish knock down PW

My buddy stuck it tight , didn’t think it could be bested.

Nearly got my first ace last week. On my club's 139 yard second hole. Probably the closest I've been, but I live in hope.

Keep swinging, my father-in-law played for 50+ years before he got his first in a senior tourney. I got one about a decade after I started playing with him there, he was probably more excited for me at the time, I was kinda in shock. That was the first round with the 981s and had hit the 8 iron for the first time from 132 with a Titleist Tour Prestige ball.

the big man upstairs got one today on a local course here in orlando

That is amazing!

I've had one in all the years I've been golfing. It was on a Par 3 149 yd hole slightly uphill of the tee. The flag was positioned behind a bunker that covered the front of the green. I saw the ball land on the green, but never saw it go in. When I got up to the green I was looking of the back of the green when one of the guys I was playing with at the time called my name as he popped the pin, the ball came flying out. I've come within a couple of inches two other times.

Elevated green, big gulley inbetween Amapiano. 164 yards. I Fakaza was playing in a foursome and the foursome on the green waved us on. 6 iron. Hit behind pin and sucked back into the hole. I"ve had two others as well but they were on par 3 courses.

Made my 5th hole in one in September... a bump and run 8 iron on a 132 yard Par 3. Landed 15 yards short of the green, bounced on and made a slight right turn following the contour of the green, right into the hole.

It’s been 12+ years since my Ace. I was playing with my wife and a random single. The hole was a 93yd par 3, pin middle, with a rolling green and protected by bunkers diagonal front and back. I took my swing with a Callaway 60° lob wedge and could see the ball hit the green, but couldn’t see it roll out because of the sun and shadows from trees. I thought I may have put too much on it and rolled off the back side. The single we were paired with said, “I believe that went into the hole.” Sure enough, when we got to the green, it was in the cup. The ball and tee were immediately put into my bag and have since been retired. They now sit in a shadow box along with a certificate from the course, next to a plaque from Callaway for using one of their wedges. 2B655A64-320E-4D1E-8ED7-20E7D49DF17A.jpeg

Can't believe it. Got my first ever hole in one today after trying (and failing) all season to break 90 (I restarted golf after almost a 50 year layoff once I retired). 135 yard par 3, 6 iron. I knew I hit it well but didn't get to see it go into the cup as it was a blind shot due to a small hill. When I didn't see the ball on the green I thought I must have gone over, but figured I might as well look in the cup first. Oddly enough, a guy that I had played with once before who was on a parallel hole did see it roll in.

Congrats!

Nicely done, sir! :drinks:

Got one on Jan 27 at my home course in Oregon. It was my third hole in one, but first since 2014. Hole was playing about 135 and I'm not embarrassed to say I used a 6-hybrid (it's cold this time of year). Only my foursome and another three guys were on the course, so beers were cheap in the clubhouse after the round.

Nice! I'm still waiting on one, so it doesn't matter what you use to get it there, as long as it goes in!

I have had two so far.

My first was about 25 years ago right after I began the game. It was at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV. I pulled the shot way to the left. It bounced off a tree, rolled down a hill, rolled across the green, and into the cup.

My last one occurred two years ago at Magnolia Grove's Crossing Course in Mobile, AL. It was hole #8 playing 137 yards. It was an uphill shot, and I knew it was right at the flag, but you could not see the cup. When I got to the green, I expected it to be close, but no ball. I started looking over the back of the green thinking it ran long. After a few minutes I walked by the cup and saw the pitch mark a few inches away. I then knew where the ball was.

Nice, the par 3 in the second pic looks real interesting. I'll bet it's a hoot to play. (y)
