What did you shoot today?

Played a tough course, Waterlefe today. Great recommendation by JB . That course was mentally exhausting, but overall a fun course. The amount of water required keeping the ball in front of you. Started off struggling with hitting two good shots in a row and posted a 44. Pulled it together on the back with multiple pars and a birdie on 11. Shot 40 on the back. Putting was difficult with the greens being aerated, but I knew that going in so can’t complain.

Played with Wildcat4life , oumagic , and Doubleb21 today in prep for Idaho. Started off quite well with a 42 on the front. Back 9 kicked my butt, though, and finished with a 48 on the back. All in all a good day of golf made great with THPers!

38 35 for +1. Didn’t play well but made some putts & scores better than I probably should have.

Rutgers
68.7/128/6034yds/par 71

80 (net 64)
6/13 FIR
8/18 GIR
30 putts (7 1putts, 1 3putt)
1 birdie, 10 pars, 6 bogeys, 1 quad

I kept the scrambling game going from Friday and lag putting continues to be on point with the Stroke Lab Double Wide. I got multiple compliments on my putting again, even after laying up on a few, but dropping the second putt anyway. Epic choke job on 17 where it took me three shots to get out of the sand. I don't even know what happened on the first bunker shot, but then I had very awkward stances for the two shots after that. I birdied 18 (pin high left in 2 and pitched to 3 feet) to avoid a spectacular meltdown. :beat-up:

35/38 for a 2 over 73 at my home course. 15 GIR, but I couldn’t get many putts to drop.

I had one of my worst rounds of the year when it was really important, the club tournament. 40-38 to lose by one! Aaaahhhaaahhh! Had something happen for the first time that cost me a chance, hit it a little thin and it clipped a tree and never came out, made triple to lose the lead.

41 today. One bad hole: #7, the par 3. Pulled one into the trees protecting #8 tee box; didn’t have an angle and had to waste a stroke chipping out sideways. Chipped on but missed the bogey putt.

69 (-2) at The Legacy Golf Club in south Phoenix on Saturday. Struck the ball well and had a lot of birdie looks.

Played 9 over the weekend and shot 45. Had a pretty decent round going into 9 and limped in with a triple. Not an ideal way to finish.

101 to 76. Someone is getting ready for thp championship

Saturday - 84 (nett +2) - round with Jen, Andrew and his wife

Drove the ball well but approach, chipping and putting was terrible and I was surprised to see the final score

Sunday - 82 (nett -1) - competition round at my home club

Struck the ball a lot better, but a couple of bad shots cost me including losing a ball that hit a tree and we couldn't find it
Finished 9th overall in the competition and my handicap was cut to 10.5

My round prior to the 101 was in the 70s also. I'm pretty sure I need to be institutionalized.

Shot a 40 on Par 33 course at 6:30am this morning, not as good as last weeks 37 unfortunately. Had 5 pars, which is good, one bogey and 3 doubles which stinks. Was in the sand on all three holes and while I got out on the green I still had a ways to go on all of them by either leaving it way short or way beyond the pin.

The greens had also been fresh aerated and sanded yesterday which made it a bit more unpredictable.

37 - 39 - 76. Was a fairway and green hitting machine for the first 7 holes then it went a little south from there. 1 birdie, 12 pars and 5 bogeys.

Shot a 40-40-80 from the tips. Putting was horrendous but chipping was on point. Need to work on my green reading and speed control.

45-43/88 at Riverdale Dunes 6430yds, 70.2/129

1 birdie
8 pars
5 bogies
1 double
2 triples
1 quad

12/14 fairways hit
34 putts with nothing made over 5'
6 GIR's
only one penalty

Might not seem like much but this was a good round for me. Golf is fun again! Take away the 3 bad holes and I'm sitting real good.
Grip change and simple swing thought changed my game to where I'm hitting farther and straighter.

45 + 43 = 88. 6/14 fairways (hit 6 of the first 8, then a bagel) and only 2 GIRs (close enough to putt on 2 others).

Two holes killed me. My drive on 4 rolled into a depression around a rotting tree stump -- unplayable. I followed up by slicing the shot after the drop OB (put the one after the next drop on the fringe). What could've been a routine par 4 turned in to 7 quickly. On the back, I dribbled one into a pond off the tee; made 'par' after that for a 6.

BS +4 with some really bad putting - short game was off for two holes, but still had chances to post numbers

Six over on a par-31 executive course. No birdies, one double.

I was the first one out as a single, and it was super relaxing.

I'm really liking not having a huge slice of the tee box.

Nice smooth 90. No great shots and only a couple bad shots. Relaxing round.

Played I believe one of the last executive golf courses in Northern Utah, which will unfortunately be closing on September 4th to make room for more residential housing :( . My buddies and I decided to play the round with only three clubs ( I went Putter, 5 iron, PW) and shot a +8. Beat my buddies by 5 and 8 strokes. Sad to see this course go.

36 - 39 - 75. Played really poorly on 3 holes on the back 9 but the rest of the round was pretty solid overall. 3 birdies, 4 bogeys and 1 double.
