About five more hours until NFL 2012 goes live. Looking forward to it. Hope the Chiefs don't suck as bad as pre-season made it look like they will. I still think they win the division. The AFC West is just that bad.

Chargers dude......for real...until playoff time lol

I can't wait for Jets vs. Cowboys on Sunday night. Are there 2 fanbases that talk their teams up more than those 2 teams? It'll be complete hype city before that game. At least the Jets have actually done something in the playoffs recently.

Here you go, Manning update: http://www.colts.com/news-and-event...-MANNING/1e78b82f-bbd8-426c-8edf-f8ef4073cad4

As previously stated on Monday, Sept. 5th, Peyton Manning has undergone further testing and consultation with several specialists regarding his rehabilitation. The results of these tests and the consensus of the consultations was that further surgery was warranted. Peyton has undergone this surgery today by having a single level anterior fusion. The surgery was un-eventful.

This procedure is performed regularly throughout the country on persons from all walks of life, including professional football players. Two former Colts players had this same procedure last winter and have fully resumed their careers. Rehabilitation from such surgery is typically an involved process. Therefore, there will be no estimation of a return date at this time. We will keep Peyton on the active roster until we have a clearer picture of his recovery process.

Peyton will immediately begin the rehabilitation regimen mapped out by the surgeon. We anticipate no further updates or availabilities beyond those required by the NFL Media Policy for the immediate future.

Thank you for your consideration.

I agree dude. True fanatics and this should be a barn burner.

I wonder how much money Vinatieri will get from Brett Favre for his Colts #4 jersey

hahaha, did you just pull the Danny Woodhead card? You are hurting and desperate right now.

I'm in trouble bro! I've got to distract from my teams awfulness

Wow, heck of a burn, using Danny Woodhead and Al Davis, impressive CL.

Thank you sir. Mr. Woodhead is an inspiration to all of us wee people. And Al Davis should always be used in a mock:banana:

Funny me and my buddies had our draft last night and no one took him...good thing too haha

On a serious note. I love peyton and what he has done for the sport and our culture and hope him the best and a quick recovery.

I wonder if watching a Colts game now gets a little faster. I mean Manning behind the center yelling waffle and hot sauce was like being behind a really slow golfer. I mean 2 minute pre-shot routine slow. And we all know how bad that is. I love the guy, but if I never hear someone yellow Blue 26 again, I will be okay.

I'm ready for some Raven's football. Can't wait to watch them play the Steelers on sunday.

Ominous tweet from SI.com's Will Carroll:

It really depends on where the fusion was, how many levels, and what the reason was for doing it. I would highly doubt he plays this year. Just not something you want to mess with too soon. He'll be back throwing in 4-6 weeks, but to have stress on the neck or contact would be a huge risk.

I bet that the slowest NFL starting RB is Peyton Hillis from the Cleveland Browns.
Just a hunch though. Do you think he visualizes the field before the snap?

In my draft last night he wasn't taken until round 10. None of us thought he would have another big year.

Can you name the last white running back taken in the first round of the NFL draft?

John Cappelletti, but going off memory. Most think Mike A, but he was actually a 2nd round pick.

Care to make it interesting? Packers will throw and run all over the Saints

Kongfrontation
Exactly. The Packers have too many offensive weapons. If you play the pass Grant will run through the heart of your defense. If you load up the line to stop the run, Rodgers has several recievers that he can throw it deep to or he can throw short passes to Finley all day long. The Saints' corners and safetys simply arent good enough to stop our WRs and arent big enough to stop Finley.
Also, if Brees tries to throw all over our defense, Matthews will make him run for his life and Woodson will lure him into passing into what he THINKS is an open reciever and then BAM, its a pick-six or an INT for Woodson.
The Saints will make it interesting but I just dont see the Saints being able to hang with the Packers.
Its amazing how quickly people forget how much talent the Packers have on their roster and just how scary good they could have been last year if it hadnt been for so many injuries.

Pretty sad but it just shows how much the league has changed in recent years. Almost going to no running backs in some offenses, to a certain point.

Now I am not saying that the Saints will win or the Packers are not great, but if anybody (even Packers fans) think that teams should fear Ryan Grant, they are mistaken.

I guess I dont see the problem. Who cares if there are white RBs, or purple RBs or anything else.
