Miura CB 201 & 202

I don't like how it says "straight neck" on them. I think it's pointless and clutters up the cavity. I also don't know why they cost so much. I would love to be given a set, that's for sure. Miura always seems to find their way into the bags of staffers of other golf forums. I find that interesting.

That's interesting TC, can you PM me where you found this? Or is me asking a violation?

Muira have made some pretty clubs, but I'm not overly fussed with these. I don't really see the justification of the price except for rarity/exclusivity value.

I guess I'm just not enough of a poser. Must try harder, these may match my skinny jean look.

Paulo, you would look great in a pair of skinny trousers rockin the Miura 501's. :)

Poser? I don't understand what that means. If I'm correct, what you're saying is if someone does buy these they area poser? Why would that be?

I'm not being entirely serious....although I think (not in any way including you in this), that a lot of their overseas sales might just be chalked up to having them as status symbols, instead of being bought for their performance.

I get that, believe me. It like people with staff bags right? LOL! I am going to try them! I have to. Just to see if it's all hype or not! If the shoe fits.....

Yeah, but if it makes the person feel like they're playing something special, then why not. Most of us work for our money so in the end we can buy whatever we like. Feeling confident on the course is priceless anyway! :D I guess my problem would be with the guys (we've probably all seen them) who would bag them to be 'better than you'.

Miura are very nice irons, but now they're not worth their price tag. Pre-conforming grooves they delivered an insane amount of spin on the irons. You could hold the ball from anywhere. Now, not so much.

Well, I reckon a man should be supremely confident in his irons, and I think a large % of that starts with how they look, both in the bag and over the golf ball. I've never hit a Miura so I can't comment on whether or not they're worth it.

A buddy of mine just got a used set and they looked nice. The profile was similar to my V2's. It's something he always wanted, so more power to him.

Poser is someone who has to have something to look good, or a guy with a small erm has to make up for it with material possesions. Also someone who is vain

I am a closet Miura fan. I love those irons! I would love to have a set of CB 501s. But I will never own them. I can't afford them first of all and really can't justify spending that much on them unless I made the tour and they helped me win the masters... ok, I'll stop dreaming.

I love it dude. THP is all about dreaming about a set up. Miura needs to send some irons for testing or something.

Now that would be an amazing product to test! I'd slip you a $20 to put me on that testers list! lol!!

Unfortunately, Miura has basically said they won't allow demo clubs for outings without a rep present.

hahaha, I wish it were that simple. I have no say in who's on the list unfortunately.

I say purchase what you like and can afford. Who cares if someone calls you a poser, people will always find something to judge. I certainly think they are sweet irons and I've hit a few diff models and they feel nice (I really like the Passing Points) but I cannot justify the price. Either way you chose good luck.

I've always wanted to go try them out but there is no way I could even consider them b/c of price and would feel bad wasting the guys time just to satisfy my own desires.

Seriously though, if Gianna1025 gets those sticks we should talk him into bringing them to a THP outing. I know everyone would want to line up to see those sticks.

I like that plan. Well, not for me, b/c I'm a lefty, but he should purchase them for the sake of the forum. We need more feedback and Miura porn.

Theres a fitter in the San Francisco Bay Area that is an official fitter for Miura. A friend of mine went to a golf shop in Japan and saw these and other Japanese brands that aren't sold in the US and was really impressed at the quality of the clubs and the fitting.

drooling... drooling... drooling...

There's a lovely set of left handed Miura blades on the Bay for $750 there TC

I'm quite looking forward to spending serious time with all of these irons and their new driver head next week. Should be fun.

I went and hit a demo 6 iron from the CB 301sand they were really sweet. They had DG S300s in there which I don't think is for me. I'm looking for C Tapers in a S+. I think I'm going to go for it though. Right now I'm buckling down for a house but after that, it's on like Donkey Kong! They'll probably be the last set I ever buy so I'm going out with a huge bang. I say this now, hopefully I can settle down in a house in the next year or so and pull the trigger. So this is going to be a long term thing. Nothing within the next couple months or so.

I met with a Miura fitter today and explained my intentions with the irons. He said that the fitting would take about 30 minutes or so and the turn around time is like a week. That was the surprising part to me. Thought it would be a lot longer. I would love to attend a THP Demo anyway, let alone bring these for everyone to hit! I'll keep everyone posted on this!
