Hitting a "burning wedge" - question for the forum

That shot is pretty difficult from only 20 yards. I usually won't even consider that shot unless it is 50 or more yards.

Also... only try if from the fairway or really short grass. You won't be happy with the result from the rough.

From 20 yards a regular chip that stops quick is a good idea. Open your club face and stance a little and just hit a normal chip shot, ball flies a little higher but not much and has enough back spin to stop quick, it will spin off after it lands to the right or left depending on righty or lefty hitting it.
 
Key is to really accelerate thru the ball -even from 20 yards. Was watching Tiger once hit these little chips during practice from right off teh green-really have to be agressive with hit to generate the spin.
