THP Tour Van - Texas Event

As I said earlier in this thread, I've owned a "THP Tour Van" and I know exactly what you're talking about. It's horrible to be caught in storms while trying to navigate that big bad boy. Winds constantly throwing you around.

Im not sure, but there seems to be a pattern here...last night near the Beau and tonight I'm guessing near Lake Charles. Is there a casino theme going on here?!?!? . I'm guessing after those bands of storms you drove in, JB is probably spent at this point. I know there's a lot of stress and tension during the drive.

You have no idea how tired we are right now. Its been a long couple of days.
No gambling from me anymore. We were going to head to the Beau last night since GG had never been, but stayed in with the puppies.

Sounds good GG, we can defer to the locals that know their BBQ and call when done with golf to at least give the place a heads up. I will likely have a few extras with me that are in town as I am guessing a few others will as well.

Spazzdog - there's your answer! We will make time for everyone to get cleaned up. Ha

After reading Gg's post about the rain, I could remember those feelings (stress and tension) all over again. To have the people (and dogs) you love the most on board and feeling that you in some way are at the mercy of mother nature. I sure know where you were today. I'm glad you 4 are safe and hopefully tomorrow will be a better drive.

You can always stop off in Lockhart on the way into Austin if you want BBQ.

AGREEEEDDDD! Lockhart BBQ places are some of the best in Tx. Not all you can eat, but the meat itself is just so freaking good!And really looking forward to playing with cookie, awf and steele!

Same here DTak..... Playing with you, cookie, and awf will be fun...... And good TX BBQ as well = a great time. I'm not sure TBT likes the pairings..... JB is going to scout his game for the MC, and I don't get to out drive him with my 3 wood..... Haha

I saw that on the radar. If it's just a light rain that's fine, it's the sideways down pour that makes driving really hard.
