It never ends with the health issue crap. Had the surgery march 9th & it went fine, since then though I have been having blackouts & dizzy spells. Doctors have poked & prodded & think it may be amaurosis fugix. It's a circulatory issue involving the eyes & can cause many problems including stroke. Going to see yet another specialist monday.:banghead:

And just went I thought everything was going just fine, feel pretty good actually. Vision has been getting worse & the bifocals are useless is the only problem.

Oh well, wait for them to tell me what's up.

That's a bummer for you Dyna. Keep us informed and we'll keep thinking good thoughts.

Scary stuffy, Dyna. The nurses will be standing by.

Stupid freaking heatwave.

It's supposed to hit 101* here today.

And before all the Texans (remember, I am one) start with the "ahh, that's nuthin'!", remember that most of the houses here don't have A/C.

I am NOT looking forward to trying to get to sleep tonight.

Then stay up and play--I usually get up not long after you turn in.

We had yet another Bibilical thunderstorm this afternoon, with some really scary lightning. So much for my lesson. I really, really need a lesson.

Tell me about it. It looked like a tornado went through town. Roads closed, downed trees and power lines. Everyone was late for their appointments.

Yeah. Most of the afternoon in midtown it looked like someone had turned the sun off. Quite spectacular though. We had one on Saturday I think it was and I honestly think my building may have been hit. I had my shutters closed and it basically lit my room up and the crash of thunder was instantaneous. It was definitely within like 100 yards of my apartment and I can't help thinking it must have been right above me. Made me jump quite a bit. And then of course every dog in the building is trying to outdo the thunder. Nice, calm and relaxing too.

I just booked my flights to Chicago (for Solheim :blob:), then down to NC, then back up to Boston. In addition to my plane tickets it is going to cost me an extra $130 just to check my baggage!

I guess I can understand to some small degree charging for a second bag, but you aren't even allowed one anymore!

Stupid, isn't? And yet, some 350lb beast of a human is allowed to buy one coach ticket (no extra charge) and sit against next to me.

I always fly Alaskan when I can, because they still allow one bag. Which airlines are you flying soxy?

NC? Family? Vacation? Golf? Bidness?

I hear SWA is talking about changing their luggage flies free policy. Supposedly, the analysts say they are leaving 800 million on the table, and that the free luggage policy doesn't increase ridership that significantly. I hope it's not true, as it's the only reason I fly SWA (traveling with the kid and wifey requires 4 checked bags -- I just bring a carry-on for me).

That bag policy is like buying a new car only to be told the tires and wheels are extra! Stupid!

I just wish Southwest would do assigned seating. I usually buy the business select so I can get an A boarding, but it does no good when switching planes.

Thanks to our never-ending rain storms, my golf lesson has just been canceled for the fourth tim in a row. I have a couple of big rounds coming up, I'm mid-swing rebuild, and I can't hit a ball to save my soul right now. I almost don't need the lesson as much as the pep talk.

Go git 'em Claire! You can do it!

Give me a C! Give me an L! Give me an A! Give me an I! Give me an R! Give me an E! CLAIRE! CLAIRE! CLAIRE! WOO HOO!

Aww, thanks. But--do you think I'm cupping my forward wrist? I"m almost afraid to try changing anything on my own at this point.

Well, there is always living room chipping practice off the rug with some of those whiffle balls. Putting practice on carpet helps with hitting straight putts to a spot. In extreme emergencies a rope strung across the garage with a heavy blanket as a ball back stop can work. Wish we had your rain. Worse than bone dry at my my home. :confused2:

Basically every airline is now charging for bags. I am flying Jet Blue for one leg of my trip and the first bag for them is free.

NC-a full family vacation (could be interesting!) in the Outer Banks. A lot of golf will be played I hope. Actually I have never played with a lot of my extended family so I am hoping to start some friendly wagers for the first round.

Fun !

I just got a speeding ticket in the mail. It showed the date and time, and I remember what happened...

I was late for a tee time.

Damn golf.

Another tournament rained out. Seriously considering putting the clubs in the closet for the rest of the year.

It must be raining a lot harder there than here. Is the course too wet to play?

Not even raining yet and they cancelled. Seriously pi$$ed right now.

Well - the course will be wide open so you won't have a problem getting a tee time.

On Friday I got up early, looked cloudy but not raining outside. I drove over to the club so I could be in the first tee time out. As I approached it got worse and worse. Full down pour once I got there. Turned around and went home. Got up early on a day off for nothing. Today, it's even worse. Damn rain.

Are they postponing the club championship?
