I think you are correct in that rangefinders with the slope feature are illegal in tournaments. I never play in tournaments so it is not a factor to me.

I think having a rangefinder with/or without a slepe feature is just a tool. It doesn't swing the club for you :}

Slope vs non-slope is just a preference.

Yeah, I was just getting my preference in here to try to help him make his decision. I figured most people would say to get one with slope so I went with the possible negatives.
