As a few of you know, I just recently changed positions. After almost 20 years of being on property at hotels, I am now in the corporate office setting.

One thing that struck me as I walk around the building is everyone has at least two monitors at their workstation, some have three. I found this interesting, I used to think that was only for stock brokers and such.

I guess being on property fo so many years I was out of touch with technology and the way people work today. Now after almost two months I can't imagine not having two monitors...ha. I worked at home one day recently and even though we have a very nice home office set up with a 24" monitor it wasn't enough :)

So how many monitors do you have? And what field of work is it in, if you can/want to say.

2 here. Accounting.
Sales has 3.

One. But I'm going to swing for a second one soon.

Inventory/Operations specialist in a Retail Verizon Store.

I have 2 23 inch monitors but will be upgrading to 2 24 inch monitors shortly. Helps me multi-task. I use a program called Ultra-mon which allows me to keep separate tool bars based on screen and with 1 click I can throw things from one screen to the other.

6 for my part time job. 911 dispatcher lol I'll snag a picture tonight.

I'm an auditor and work in the field. I do all my work on a tiny laptop screen. No wonder I'm going blind.

I have one. My wife, who tracks 250,000 rail cars for Dow Chemical has 3 on her desk, and on her office wall is 4 48" flat screens.

It truly is impressive! Oh the THP'ing that could happen in that office!

I am a software developper and I use 4x24" when working from home, at the office I have 2x24" only and I can live with that.

now I am on the road and have to work on my 17 inches laptop and I am about to cry

2 here..... Helps very much when looking at multiple spreadsheets or having outlook on one and a webex, etc on the other.

Right now 2 standard 17's at work in IT. One will be replaced with a 40inch shortly. I work in SCCM a lot and the extra landscape will be nice.

I have 2 but I'm never at the office haha

you know there are features built in windows 7 for that? I also used multimon a few years back but I am happy I dont need it anymore

I have two. Manage maintenance at a power plant. Keeps my maintenance system and e-mail up, or various documents from reports, work requests, spec sheets on equipment etc. I can't imagine working with only one monitor anymore. And when I have a few minutes before a meeting starts, I'll open up THP real quick for a few minutes so I don't get involved in something and end up late to a meeting. Oops, I got a 9 O'clock meeting starting now. Adios!!

I have 3 as I have constant emails, do a lot with spreadsheets and need to have one free for word or THP

One. About the size of an IPhone. Oh wait it is an iPhone

I've got 2 - 24 inch monitors here at work. I'm an accountant.

I am a sales analyst for a wholesale company and I use just one 24 inch monitor. I would rather have the one big one than two. I occasionaly have several things open but I would rather just resize things on the big one than have to deal with the two. Plus, most of what I do is on Excel and I am frequently out in the AA, BA, and even the CA columns so it is nice to be able to size things how I want on one screen.

There are several in our office that have the two monitor set up. We tend to get the older equipment from our larger branches so they are all just the older square monitors. When I've been to the larger branches, I saw many people that have a two monitor setup with 19 and 20 inch widescreen monitors. I still wouldn't like that for myself. They will have a fight if they try and replace the one I have.

My college age son has two 24s for his home set up, with a cable that will hook up to his TV as well, but he's always doing multiple things at once.

2, but I rarely use the second one. One of our tech guys has 5.

Interesting. That might make sense for when I'm sharing my 2nd screen with a hotel. That way I'm not constantly dragging from the Main screen.

I'm still learning this concept. #OldDogNewTricks

I currently have 2 in my Account Manager position. Used to have 3 when I was in my previous position, needed several programs opened at once for work.

I have 2. At my old job I had 3.

4 if you count my open tablets monitoring a few things each day.

I do. But I just like Ultramon. Allows me to individually set resolutions per screen and when using spreadsheets, by clicking 1 button it spreads them across both screens. Just incredibly easy to use and makes my life alot easier. I am sure there are ways to do all or most of it through windows.
