I just thought I'd share my experience with my most recent fitting for a driver shaft. Here's a breakdown of my numbers pre and post shaft change.

Cobra ZL Encore 9.5 open position

Pre: Stock Fujikura Motore F1 S flex 55g
Launch Angle: 16.8 degrees
Ball Speed: 127mph
Back Spin: 1944rpm
Side Spin: -146rpm
Carry Distance: 217yrds
Total Distance: 239yrds

I hit it higher on the face this but this was the straightest of the bunch. The numbers looked good but I had big misses either direction. With the way I loaded the shaft and attacked the ball, the fitter said 55 grams was too light. And based on my shot pattern he also felt a stiffer tip would help.

We tried different shafts and didn't notice any improvement until I hit the RIP Phenom 60.

Post: Aldila RIP Phenom 60 S flex.

Launch Angle: 12.7 degrees
Ball Speed: 136mph
Back Spin: 2088rpm
Side Spin: -215rpm
Carry Distance: 227yrds
Total Distance: 254yrds

I pulled it 40yrds left but I pured it. I continued to hit with it and still missed in either direction, but none were as dramatic compared to when I had the F1. It seems like the right shaft unlocked an additional 10mph of ball speed and distance. Pretty amazing stuff and an eye opening experience for sure.

Sounds like you found a shaft that works for you
