When I broke my wrist I felt it really helped me get range of motion back. I thought it was worth it

Hard to say Pete. I've had both experiences. I'd like to think it is all worth it. However after my 2nd knee surgery 4 years ago, I had a Physical Therapist who I could feel just wasn't invested in it as much as I was, which is totally understandable. But I felt I didn't get the benefits I did the first time.

All I know is after my knee replacements coming up in October, I'll be following it to a tee and questioning them if I feel it's not benefiting me.

Totally worth it IMO, but finding a good therapist is important

Don't tell my wife (she's a Dr. of PT), but I had PT before and thought it was a huge waste of time.
Depending on the type of injury, a lot of times you can just do the exercises at home and avoid all the co-pays.
Last night was my first session...and I'm very much still healing (and made very clear by my ortho on the PT script), but I definitely felt like it was a waste of an hour last night. Twice a week seems like overkill, but I will stick with it for now.

just so you know, my sister is a PT. Although she is out of work for the next 6 weeks or so. But if you have any questions you know how to get a hold of me.

I'll keep that in mind. Your BIL recommended this current place--the Hand Specialists at Albany Memorial--and I hear they are very good. I'm just going to bite the bullet and do everything possible to ensure I'm back on the golf course the afternoon of August 28th.

Nice. Shall I make a tee time?

Ha. 9:00 am appointment with Adam; and then 11:00 am tee time for my annual office scramble (my team is defending champs, and they've pushed back the tournament so I can play). That's Labor Day weekend, and I have no idea if I'm going away or not, but we'll get out right after that. No way I'm going to PGA National unprepared.

The Official Banter Away Thread

Feel almost silly. I follow the awesomeness if the Morgan Cup thread. I am exited to see what the event entails.
I have nothing to add to it, and as it gets closer, I feel more and more out of place in that thread.
Awesome just does no cover it!

Time to sit back, shut up and watch it unfold.

Dont be ridiculous. You add what you want to add. Guys chirping about this and that can sit back and take a backseat to those following along. This event is for the community and that will not change despite it being the week of. Ask any question, make any comment and most of all...KNOW, your voice will be heard.

You are not out of place CJ.... And you do contribute, it would not be the same without ya. Remember that you are special

CJ, you have every right to be and that thread, as do all other members of THP. Don't be silly add some comments, ask questions, and most of all feel welcomed!

Thanks for adding that JB, I was starting to feel like CJ, I envy those guys, not only for the gear but for the awesome times they are going to live this week, and I honestly think it is almost as exciting for us to follow around from home or work than to be there (actualy its not even close, but still pretty exciting).

Oh, I know! It just seems like every time I post it is saying how awesome it is!
If I could, I'd come down his to Han out at the villas listening to stories of the day.
What is done for these guys is truly something special, just so happy that these guys won't know what hit them on Friday morning at 9 sharp!

I wouldn't think that way at all. If you have a question, ask it. We'll respond. Just not on Saturday or Sunday during play :)

Sadly I think this happens with every event. Its why as the threads get larger, nobody not attending even goes in them. Think back to Ocean city and how little that was ever entered by those not in it.

I hope it changes, and will I believe based on a few ideas we have. We tried to keep that thread banter free, but it didnt work and frankly I gave up trying. We tried to encourage the participants to venture out, but alas that didnt work either. Eventually the exhaustion of all of these wear on us.

I'm getting a step stool next time I see you and giving you a head slap!

Then run...your excitement is contagious...bring it

I will add, I in no way felt excluded in that thread. Actually just the opposite.

I engulfed myself in the #THPMC a long time ago. I will be following along!

And although great events are on the horizons for THPers, it will be a sad moment for me when that last putt hits the bottom of the cup closing out such an epic event.

Guys, please continue following along. We want to share this with you and anyone else who will come along for the digital ride.

Oh, the only way I won't be following along is if I get banned from the site!

Physical therapy..... Waste of an hour? Or totally worth it?

It's always worked out well for me, Pete.

They start off slow, especially since you're still healing. So the first few times almost seemed silly to me too. They don't want set backs though so a slow start building up more and more in difficulty as you go.

My pt is pretty awesome and I've always felt better after treatments we're complete.

I think Ocean City was a bit different because it was very difficult for us to provide any updates during the rounds, I think more people would have followed along if there were more updates and/or photos.

the MC thread is simply full of awesomeness, 40 average golfers living every THPer's dream, and a few thousands just following them and wishing they could be there with them. with 170k views and counting, this thread is going to explode as the week go along.

my only regret regarding the MC is that I will be out camping without my phone for the weekend so I will not be able to follow it all live

I think a lot of gerbils would have heart attacks around here

I'm exhausted I walked 27 holes yesterday afternoon/evening in 4.5 hrs, hoed the garden watered said garden and went to bed at 10pm last night

was up at 2 for work had the truck loaded and on the road at 4 spent 10.5 hrs driving/unloading truck worked another 2 hrs unloading a semi and putting it into another trailer. Went to family dinner and am currently hoeing the garden again and picking weeds. I figure I got 2 more hrs of work before I'm done and can shower.

Nope just a couple cups of coffee this afternoon and 2 pepsi's while I was driving. I don't do the energy drinks.

I don't stop when there is work that has to be done and I'm back at the fire house tomorrow for 48 straight so not much of an option. It's either do it now or it'll be more work to do this weekend

Who loves THP?

This guy.

Know this, to all of you who won't physically be with us this weekend at the MC, you ARE there with us, THP is everyone, not one group/click/faction, those days were found dead (and hallelujah for that!) via #FranchiseRewritten and the lifeblood of THP is the masses and will be forevermore.

You all kick ass. Period. Don't ever forget that.
