I honestly had no idea, so I googled it. Syracuse is only 34 minutes, but I have no idea how hard/easy it is to fly into. Albany is an hour and a half, but it's easy. The airport is adjacent to the highway, which connects to another highway, and the resort is less than a mile off that highway.

I've flown into the Syracuse airport a number of times (from Boston). JetBlue flies there now. It's not a bad trip, though it's not like there are millions of flights a day.
 
I'd make this trip!! See some family in the area and play golf with THPer's.....what a two for one deal

It will happen. Even if I have to suck it up and travel to jersey, it will happen.

Many years ago, they had the Potomac Cup (a very very pale comparison to a THP event, but about the same amount of people and golf) there and it didn't go well. There were major billing issues..(yikes!!!) nothing to do on property really, and you had to drive about 30 miles for anything off property to do.

That said, it is a neat course and nice hotel, but I don't think it's near top notch enough for a THP event.

Not really any farther than PBI was this weekend. Probably about 20 minutes

I love the courses at turning stone and the staff has always been top notch every time I have went. One of the courses is probably the toughest course I have ever played
