Tunica Golf Oct 16-17 (Unofficial THP Outing)

That's my fall break, I'm in. But I'll stay at my house and just commute if that's alright.

Wish I could make it boys. Would be fun, but my remaining budget for traveling golf for the year will be expended by then. Let me know if you shoot for something next year.

Come on Barry. It's not too far of a drive. Going to be a pretty cheap weekend overall :) Would love for you to make it if possible.
 
I can not commit yet, but if we end up having a bye week this fall I will schedule my bye week this weekend to come. I will know middle of August

Just a heads up, if lodging in Tunica becomes unavailable, try Southaven/Olive Branch/Horn Lake. Could try Hernando but not sure what's there, or Memphis, lots of affordable options in Memphis, but it's an hour drive from Tunica.

Just an update. Big Tazz is working on the tee times today. We're going to limit it to 24 people total (6 tee times). We may be doing North Creek instead of River Bend since it's a nicer course. Hope to have more details for everyone as the week progresses.
 
Just a heads up, Check priceline or another hotel site for deals. That's how I get good rates ☺

Put me down as a maybe for both days.

I probably wont stay the night since I live pretty close. Depending on what tee times Tazz sets up for Sat morning I might only be able to do Sat morning
 
A little update. Big Tazz was able to get us a $26 rate for North Creek on Friday bringing the cost down a bit.

So North Creek in Friday, Tunica National on Saturday, endless thanks to BigTazz, huge difference maker for some people and North Creek I've heard is really nice. I could maybe get a deal for dinner Saturday on a restaurant but it would be in Memphis which is an hour from Tunica

It might be a better option to have dinner Friday night since Southaven is 20 minutes from Memphis. There is also the option of Memphis BBQ Company in Southaven. It is excellent.

I was thinking we'd go to one of the nicer casinos and get a big table and do buffet. That way people could go get cleaned up after golf and would have some things to do between ending golf and dinner time.

That sounds good. I was just suggesting if dinner was to be in Memphis it might be easier to do it Friday when we will all be much closer.

Lil Memphis BBQ in Mississippi is always good

I'll be staying at the casa like others in the area. So maybe the ones that are getting rooms might want to organize some food plans, but a Fri dinner sounds good to me.

Definitely something we can do. Especially if we're going to have a good many staying at their own homes. Then the rest of us can head into tunica, get cleaned up, and not try and stay out too late :/
