In for review to the Oklahoma branch of THP is the new Srixon 355 driver. Honestly, this one is still somewhat a surprising release to me not in terms of what it is attempting to accomplish or what gaps it plans to fill, but rather just seeing another release/line from Srixon already...it makes me happy to see them really jumping in on things.

The 355 is bucking several current trends, the first is that it is one of the most shallow faced drivers I have seen in quite some time, which is not what I expected when opening the box. The second is they are going to a HEAVIER head at 211g and a higher balance point (much closer to the hands) to try and max out stability and distance. Its nice to see someone going another way and presenting a different option for people. Additionally, its nice to see another cup-face design on a driver, its performance traits have been validated time and again.

Its a looker IMO, no frills, no muss, no fuss, just a really clean looking design and aesthetic package. Add in we see a return of Miyazaki in some form on US soil with the new counter-weighted Jinkosu shaft and the intrigue should definitely be there for many.

Information from Srixon on the 355:

Designed for massive distance, the Srixon Z 355 driver features Action Mass technology, which combines a higher head weight (211 grams) with an ultra-high balance point Miyazaki® Jinsoku™ shaft to help increase ball speed while promoting a more consistent, stable swing for players seeking maximum distance and forgiveness. The Z 355 driver’s 450 cc club head features QTS™ Adjustability, which offers 12 unique settings for loft, lie and face angle. A fast and powerful 6-4 Ti cup face creates an even larger sweet spot for increased consistency and distance off the tee. Available in men’s lofts of 9.5°, 10.5° and 12.0° (10.5° and 12.0° available in both RH and LH options) and women’s lofts of 12.0° and HL (15.0°), the Z 355™ drivers have a minimum advertised price (MAP) of $349.99. I'm not all that happy with my pics, but I needed this up today. Will update the first post this weekend with much better and higher quality images.

Hoping to get out with this today.

Great pics James
Really excited to follow along on this one
maximum distance and forgiveness....yes please

and a solid price point

Killer photos James, really good looking product. Looking forward to hearing more about this one!

I like the profile on that one. And a glossy head as well - I feared those were becoming extinct.

MIYAZAKI!!!!!!!! Yesssssssss!

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on stability and distance my friend. Should be an interesting contrast to some of the current drivers out there.

Available in LH Yesssssssss!

Agree Dan!!!! Cant WAIT to hear your thoughts on this one James.

Wow, to the D8 swing weight. At $350 the club packs a lot of adjustability and is a good bit cheer than most of its competitors. Looking forward to your thoughts after testing Jman.

I love that you all love the pic's and all I see are the issues with them LOL!

Looking forward to getting out today, lots of questions to be answered.

That driver looks badass. I didn't hit the 545 line a whole lot, but when I did, I wasn't crazy about it. Hopefully this one is a better fit for me.

And there is something all ninja-ier about a shaft called "Jinsoku."

That's pretty looking right there. When it comes to designs like these, does it ruin the design (or what it's meant to do) when you put in custom shafts? I was just curious on that end. I'd love to hit this thing and experience a heavier head. I think it would help when I get to aggressive with my transition

Nice looking driver. Not surprised they are going the xxio route for design with heavier head, lighter shaft and grip. Should fit a lot of people regardless of SS.

Nice liking driver. I'm hoping we get to swing this one in October.

Interesting that it's so shallow faced. The 545 was on the other side of the spectrum. When I hit it well, it goes far, but I'm less consistent with that club than I am some other drivers. Really looking forward to trying this one out.

I am not a fan of deep faced drivers to this is right up alley. I feel like Srixon is just killing it with there releases in the past year or so. I dont see how those 355 irons dont end up in bag after the first price drop.

The whole 15 product line from Srixon has been awesome. That is a great looking club and I really have to say I'm anxious for the feedback on its preformance.

I really look forward to hitting the 745, 545 and now the 355 to complete the bag this winter.

Oh how I missed the Miyazakis. Very clean look. I love my C.Kuas still.

Rather excited to hear about this one James. Srixon had been bringing some interesting clubs to the marketplace for the past year or two. Look forward to hear how these perform for you.

I love the look of that deep face, and seeing a miyazaki paired with it is awesome!

Not deep at all buddy, mentioned it in the early part of the post, but I'll get some side by sides with GBB today. Its definitely in the shallow classification.

Good looking driver. I'll be interested to hear your thought james. I too am excited to see Miyazaki back in the mix!

Awesome pics and I'm liking the looks of the head/shaft combo ?

Sorry. Must have totally missed that. In the pic by itself it looked deep. Can't wait to see the comparisons.
