When do you start just playing for it?

I fear "just playing for it".... because I undoubtedly end up doing exactly what I wasn't doing previously. I usually try to change something with my grip or stance rather than just playing for it, because that will at least give me an idea of what should happen. Otherwise, I'm 'playing for it' and hoping.

I do it frequently... my driver miss always to the right so I always aim to the left side of the fairway so in the event that i go right, I have plenty of margin for error. been working out for the past 2 seasons... only time i get in trouble is on a dog leg left w/ trees

Prior to a tournament, about 2 weeks in advance, I stop tweaking my swing, and just start practicing with what I have. That way, there are less 'surprises' on a golf course.

During a casual round, I never give up. If I'm struggling, I just keep trying to fix it on course.
