Yeah wife got me the IPA Sampler pack and all of the beers were really good.
I should have saved it for tonight when the weather is actually cold! It's an American Strong Ale (9.1%) and it was pretty good. I thought I took a pic of it in the glass too, but it was a darker amber color with a good sized head that left plenty of lacing on the empty glass. I tasted cherries and some sweeter malt and the alcohol was noticeable, but not overpowering. I should have let it warm up a little bit because it definitely got better.
Sounds pretty darn good winter beer. Looks like it is 9%. Wouldn't take many of those before I would be tore up.
I've been loving the Anderson Valley Winter Solstice. That and the Breakfast Stout have been my go-to beers lately

I visited that brewery in Portland, it was pretty cool, and their beer is good too!

I saw those a few months back and said the same thing. The 6 pack is probably sitting at the store, as I'd say they aren't big sellers.

Had The Lost Abbey Inferno Ale yesterday..the head on this is no joke (not my pic, but I didn't think I poured it badly and ended up with the same thing)!
