Have you ever been the one left behind?

Twice my mother left me after middle school football games and it was 8 miles home but, at this point, I think missing the Grandaddy bus is more disastrous.

Any other missing the bus stories?

Yeah, back in the late 50s, or early 60s. Our family was at a family reunion dinner.

We were all at a house, and were loading up cars to go to the dinner. Both my parents thought I was with the other one.

All dressed up, and no place to go I was.

The place I was left at was fruit tree farm, so while everyone was gone, I ate fruit right off the trees.

I always wondered why no one came back to get me to go to the dinner.......lol

My dad threatened to leave lots of places, but I was faster than he was. ?

Yeah I got left behind a couple times, but nothing as important as the GD ?

Lol, left behind.....an off shoot of leaving someone in the Lobby...hilarious. as a side note, have you ever WANTED to leave on time, but someone was always a little late?

I am habitually early and I get anxious when i start waiting.....being married to a chaotic woman who is always running a little late has helped me calm down a bit once I accepted that we weren’t going anywhere until she is ready.

I’m the same way & my wife is always running behind. Once maybe twice a year we’ll be short of time and if she’s not ready/in the car & several verbal warnings of she’s about to be left, I’ll leave her putting on her war paint. It doesn’t happen often but she knows it drives me crazy & it’s a great way to get a point across.

I'm not sure if you've experienced it, but I can assure you, adding a girl into the mix (especially starting in the late pre-teen years) will only make things screech to a halt.

I don't think so. The swiss part of me is always on time. The McCoy part of me that descends from the Hatfield-McCoy feud crew means I may have been left for good reason and too drunk to remember. The Viking part of me doesn't care.

Morgan Cup....first night.....was in the lobby hoping to hitch a ride to the bar.....and all of the sudden the hotel was EMPTY......… @OITW graciously came back to get me!

I missed a booze cruise in Mexico once...ironically because I didn't leave Señor Frogs in time. Ahhh college, not my finest moment haha.
I'd pay okay monies to see you on a booze cruise lmao

Can't say I have. I, as the household bus driver of 2 females, have had to threaten to leave them off the bus many times because I hate being late to anything.

Went to the Ryder Cup at Oak Hill when Curtis choked. Meet my boss the night before in hotel we are staying at and he says meet him at 6am to get tix for me and our biggest client who I was escorting. So me being time conservative show up in lobby at 5:45am and am surprised the lobby is empty...So I ask the gal at desk where is everybody? She says the bus left with everyone about 15 minutes ago...SOB...So we were staying toward Syracuse and Oak Hill was an hour away. So I drive over with my client and park. We go along way to gate and scalp two tix and go in...We go to the corporate tent where my boss is with 40 others...He sees me and says..."So glad we caught up here are your tickets" I say to him..."How the hell do you think I got in" I had to scalp tix...

I somehow fell asleep at the gate in Phoenix Sky Harbor airport and missed my plane; that was no fun...

In Jr. High, I wanted to ride my bike to school but my Mom would never let me. So I missed the bus on purpose a few times, and as she would leave to work beforehand, there was no other alternative! lol

I thought this thread was all about @j_sizzle9 :)

The worst memory of being left behind was when I was probably 8 years old. I had show and tell that day and was carrying my Star Wars landspeeder and various other things. My grandparents took me to school that day because of all my stuff and I thought they were going to pick me up. I sat outside for what felt like an eternity after school. I am older now and forget a lot of things, but that left an impression!

He's that way

I was a different person back in those days. Some may say more fun, I say way more dumb. :ROFLMAO:

I wish I had $1 for every time Mrs. Reject said this EXACT thing ??!!
