I'm leaning toward flying into and out of Vegas.

Hopper is recommending booking flights sooner rather than later.

I'm sure there are some locals who can add any tips or recommendations.

For extra rounds there are a few courses I would recommend. Sky Mountain is a fun course with good views and is about 5 minutes away from Sand Hollow. Coral Canyon can be fun when in good shape and about 5-10 away, I've found good deals there online. Wolf Creek in Mesquite is about 45 minutes away. Another decent course in the area is The Ledges.

For other stuff to do Zions National park is about a 45 minute drive. Red Cliffs is a fun hike about 10 minutes north. Snow Canyon also has a few good shorter hikes.

So jealous! Enjoy this, I bet the drive from Vegas would be a very fun drive (and an excuse for a nice warm up round before heading out)

Definitely go to Vegas. For cost conscious people, there is a company that runs a shuttle between Vegas and St. George. Then you could Uber to Sand Hollow.

Just think, you could fly in and out of Vegas and add a day or two on the strip.

I’ll probably look at flying in and out of Vegas also. I’m initially thinking a Thursday arrival and a Monday departure.

i’m looking at a late arrival Wed and Monday departure as well

With st George being closer, I’m assuming it’s just much more expensive to fly into?

Limited flights in and out daily - most are puddle jumpers from SLC.

It's $100 difference, plus Vegas Baby.

I almost always try and get nonstop/direct flights when flying with the sticks.

I think I would try and take the first flight out Friday and then leave sometime Monday. I would be coming from OKC.

100 bucks cheaper for Vegas? That is not too bad.

Basically a wash with car rental no?

I’d love to know your standards. I see at the moment Dallas, Salt Lake, Phoenix, Denver, LAX. All small jets, but jets nonetheless.

I’m flexible as far as travel.

I wouldn’t mind coordinating with others as to arrival / departure and possible rental vehicle. There could be worse places in the world to be stuck another day or night than Vegas.

I'm starting in a new position at my company with a new manager, so I need to have a discussion with him before I nail down my dates. Thought is to arrive Thursday and leave Monday.

Understandable. Especially for something like this or when your connection is into a much smaller plane

Yup, not bad at all - goes up drastically if fly in closer to the weekend.

Cheaper options into SGU, but then the flight duration and amount of layovers increases dramatically.

Congrats on the new position!

To clarify - it's the options in and out from my departure city and choice airlines - for some this might be the cheaper, quickest, best option.

Also VEGAS BABY!!!

I’ve been on the road traveling and will dive into MC travel tomorrow but I’m definitely in for extra golf!!

I’m thinking Thursday in Monday out as well. Vegas Baby. I’ve never played golf in Vegas either so 2 states can be crossed off the list!

Late Wednesday Arrival - Departure late morning or later on Monday.

LAS for both.

I’ll be taking Southwest. Hoping for an arrival Thursday late morning and departure on Monday around noon. Will look at flights tomorrow:
