LIVE UPDATE THREAD 2020 PGA Merchandise Show

Sometimes the smaller devices work in one aspect, Distances 75 to 225 yards. Ok for full swing Irons and Wedges. But useless for the Driver, ever shot is 257.

As indoor versus outdoor.

But to give you the Mercedes Benz experience you not only need to charge more, you need to sell Costco volume of devices. The market might not be ready at say 1299.00. When I am only willing to pay $225.00. :drinks:

If you just ask for speeds and carry, they can do decent jobs. But spin doesn’t seem to work. Nevermind that I also want launch haha

Now the royal blue and white ones that I saw.....those are probably my new grips.
Yeah I saw the Duke ones and I was like yeah Ary will like these.

Tosses grip into the trash

Pretty sure that is Kentucky Wildcat blue guys ?

The problem though is accuracy. It’s why Foresight hasn’t done one yet according to them. A yard or two off, okay we all know that’s not a big deal. Make something though that’s just inaccurate and that’s your company name on the line.

We all want a personal launch monitor for really that 500 number that works well, and that asks a lot for a company to give a solid product in a small price. It’s like why Mercedes doesn’t have a 15k car?
I feel like the answer might be to commandeer some of the tech on a users cell phone. There are some highly sophisticated sensors, cameras, and image processing sensors in our cell phones. I think engineering something that has the current monitors as one piece that then gives our cell phones a few jobs as well would be a way to make this more affordable. That way you don't have to actually include 100% of the tech you need into the actual product you just need some code to tell the phone the job it needs to do.

There are all sorts of neat novelty “golf carts” out there but honestly I am not on the course because I want to ride around on something fancy. Most would also not allow me to take my kid with me and that makes them a firm no for me. Neat but I think they are a very novelty market.

Cool looking covers

Not sure these would work after you have had a few :drinks: & you start losing your balance. But I'd give'em a go.

I don't know why there are so many companies coming out with these though. It seems to me they would only be at your high end Country Clubs or Resorts ... never at a public course. I would think there would be too much liability. At least more than a regular golf cart anyway.
