    Heading to Oahu!

I played Kahuku many years ago. A pasture course with an iron ranger. $10 for nine holes. Great memories!

All Time "Worst" Golf Gift or Purchase

I bought the materials to build a belly putter when they were sort of popular. I had replaced grips for years but never built a club, so why not. Got it all glued together. Looked cool! Took it to my course and out to the practice putting green. Putted 3 balls and never used it again!

    Montana or Wyoming

My wife and I got married in Jackson Hole by a Justice of the Peace and we took our wedding pictures using a tripod and a Pentex with the Cunningham cabin and the Tetons as the backdrop. It cost us all of $100! We camped, golfed, and fished for a couple of weeks in Montana after we spent our...

Who put on the WORST concert(s) you've been to?

Dionne Warwick at a small club on the Washington coast many years ago. She was FUBARED! Couldn’t remember any words to her songs and slurring her words when she tried to talk. We walked out after 20 minutes.

    Lie angle

It sure can’t hurt to recheck whether or not you need lie angle changes due to a possible swing change. However, the irons you bought are cast and don’t bend easily or very much. I doubt if the clubs have changed due to being a less malleable metal than forged. Depending on what you find out you...

Strangest thing that’s ever happened to you on the golf course?!

I was run over by a golf cart. I was walking down the fairway on the last hole of a tavern-sponsored golf tournament. The Cooler Open. I hear the sound of a cart coming up behind me, knowing it was either a beer cart or the food cart that was also out. Next thing I know, the cart hits me full...

    Bending Wedges

Remember that when you bend a wedge from, say 56 to 58 you will be increasing the bounce 2 degrees. If you bend a 60 to 58 you lose 2 degrees of bounce. Of course it depends on what bounce the club had originally, what change works for you (do you swing steep or shallow),and the type of shots...

How do you buy your Beer?

For out on the course I’ll keep Coors Light and Banquet half racks ready to go in my garage beer fridge. I have numerous craft beers and imports around too. Otherwise I have a kegerator in my den with two 5 gallon kegs of locally brewed fresh beer on tap. Usually one is an IPA or pale ale and...

    The Beer Thread

Bigfoot is brewed with extreme hop bitterness and holds up remarkably well. Expect a certain amount of a candy flavor but still very hop forward. Enjoy!

    Golf Injuries

Tennis Elbow and right wrist issues. Me too. Consulted with my doctor and he had no clue what to do. Finally went to an elbow/wrist specialist surgeon. Surgery was the third recommended option (I thought this was going to be his first option). Second suggestion was a shot of prednisone. I went...

Find an asian restaurant that serves Jjampong. It is a very spicy seafood noodle soup that will rock your world!

    Indoor Mirror To Check Swing

I did this and bought a dozen 12” x 12” mirrors and glued them to a wall in my garage to make a 2’ x 6’ looking mirror. They were cheap and it worked great.

    What is your favorite Firearm?

WHAT??? It sure is. The only thing worse was a girlfriend’s S&W .38 snub nose. It kicked hard because of the dinky hand grip, really loud, and worst of all would spray you with burning powder. I hated that thing!
